Hi Everyone and welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Over the past couple days, I have shared some great card ideas you can make with one set of supplies from this month’s kit. Today I am sharing with you my fourth alternative idea using the June 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Life Is Sweet.
If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and create these cards or see any of my other alternatives cards click on the playlist below. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL40dV1oxpkNm0O0mbxJE2tVmvp6HOd0MQ
This card is so fun with whimsical details and colors that pop. I share a great technique that uses scraps in a unique way. I can’t wait to share it with you.
Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store.

kit
Hello Glimmer Die Cut – kit
Large Lemon Die Cut – kit
Pink Envelope (back piece) – kit
Leaf Frame Die Cut – kit
Long Greeting Label – kit
1- Create scalloped corners on your cardbase to match the Large Pink Label. I do this by lining up the scalloped corner of the Large Pink Label leftover frame to one of the bottom corners on the front of the cardbase. Use a pencil to trace around the decorative edge. Then cut along the traced edge with a pair of paper snips. Repeat on the other corner.
2- With a Pen – I used the Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Write Marker. Trace the edge along the sides and bottom to create a whimsical line. I traced it twice about 1/8” from the edge, following the shape.
3- Splatter with the same Stampin’ Write Marker on the front of the cardbase.
4- With the Large Fern Leftover Frame trace some leaves along the drawn line. Add a center detail similar to the leaves from the Leaf Frame Die Cut. I added leaves along both sides and the bottom.
5- Temporarily line up the Leaf Frame Die Cut in the center of the Large Pink Label. Flip to the back and mark where they meet. Find an open area just above this mark to cut the frame and separate the leaves. Repeat this on the other side.
6- Remove all the leaves on the left and right sides of
the frame, keeping the solid edge. Make sure to leave the leaves that are along
the bottom.
7- Add this to the front of the Large Pink Label with glue
dots. Trim off any part of the frame that is going beyond the label.
8- Double wrap twine around the middle of the Large Pink
Label. It should sit right above the leaves along the bottom edge. I added the
bow later. You can attach the ends of the twine to the back of the label.
9- Add this to the front of the cardbase with adhesive at the top and dimensionals at the bottom.
10- Tuck the Large Lemon on the left side under the twine
and leaves. I placed a glue dot on the bottom and a dimensional under the
leaves.
11- Stamp your greeting in Shy Shamrock on a long label from the kit. Add with dimensionals above the twine to the left of the lemon.
12- With some scratch paper underneath, color directly on to the Glimmer Paper Greeting (hello) with an Alcohol Marker (I used the Dark Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blends). Let dry.
Add above the stamped greeting with dimensionals
13- For the inside – Trim off a 1 ¼” strip from the bottom of the Pink Envelope (back piece) and trim down to 5 ½”. Add along the bottom on the inside of the cardbase. Add a ¼” strip of Melon Mambo at the top to complete the look.
I have also created a video walking you through each step.
