Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey.
Today I am sharing with you my fourth alternative card using the January 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Lovely Lavender. The projects from this kit are really beautiful, it creates a total of 8 greeting card 4 in two different designs, and 4 tags. If you would like to watch me unbox the kit and create these cards click on the playlist link below.
Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them a full supply list is below. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store.
This card is simple
and one of my favorites so far. I love that it highlights the beautiful pattern
and has a fun detail created with the Linen Thread.

1- Trim the Crumb Cake Envelope 4 ¼” x 5 ½’ add to cardbase.
2- Cut the Flower Cardbase in half along the score line
at 4 ¼”. Rotate the flower side so the 5 ½” side is at the top and cut at 3”.
Then rotate and cut again at 3” to give you a 3” x 3” square. Save the other
pieces for future cards.
3- Distress the edges of the 3” x 3” flower and 1 ¼” x 3”
Crushed Curry piece. Add the Crushed Curry piece to the bottom of the flower
piece with about 1/8” overlap.
4- Stamp your greeting in the bottom right corner of the Crushed Curry piece in Gorgeous Grape ink.
5- With a small hole punch, I used one that is 1/16” in diameter. Punch 8 holes on the left side. I punched 4 in the Crushed Curry piece going across the top and 4 in the flower piece directly opposite of the first 4. See video.
6- With a needle and 12” of Linen Thread. Sew through the holes to create 3 “X” with the leftover sting on the left side. I started from the back with both ends going through the holes that are closest to the center of the cardstock. Then take one end and create half of the “X”, then the other end completing the “X”. See video.
7- With the leftover Linen Thread tie a bow. Make sure it shows and is not behind the cardstock.
8- Add this to the center of the cardbase with dimensionals.
All Done!
I have also created a video walking you through each step:
