Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey.
There's nothing quite like the excitement of receiving a new Paper Pumpkin Kit each month. These monthly treasures arrive at our doorsteps, brimming with creative potential. August 2023 brought us a delightful kit featuring the charming forget-me-not flowers in shades of blue, green, and yellow. While the kit itself offers fantastic cards, why not take it a step further? Today I am sharing my first alternative idea, two fun fold alternative cards made with one of the forget-me-not cardbases from this kit.
If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

Card #1
Garden Green Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ¼” see template for
scoring
Garden Green Cardstock – 1 ½” x 2 ½”
Basic White Cardstock – 3 1/8” x 5 3/8”
Forget-Me-Not Envelope – Kit
Forget-Me-Not Cardbase – Kit
Linen Thread - Kit
1- Score the 8 ¼” x 5 ½” Cardbase at 1 ½” & 2 ½” from both the left & right sides.
2- Fold both sides behind the center panel in a Z shape.
Use a Bone Folder to make crisp folds.
3- Cut the sides of one Forget-Me-Not Envelope so you can access both front and back pieces. Cut the front piece to 5 3/8” by removing the top curve. Then trim up one side so it is straight (the side without the flower on the front). Cut two strips 1 3/8” x 5 3/8”. Adhere these to the front of the left & right sections. There will be a small border.
4- From the Forget-Me-Not Cardbase cut along the score
line to remove the front flap from the back. Cut the back piece to 3 1/8” x 5
3/8”. Adhere to the center panel.
5- Add some adhesive to the top middle on the center panel. Take some Linen Thread and create a double faux bow. Place a dimensional over the center of the bow.
6- Trim around the small Forget-Me-Not image on the front of the envelope. My first cut was 2 3/8” from the bottom of the image (this leaves a nice large piece we will use on a future card). Then trim to 1 3/8” you may need to shave a little off both sides so the flowers are in the middle. Add this to a piece of Garden Green Cardstock 1 ½” x 2 ½”. Add dimensionals to the back and adhere in the center over the bow. Make sure to leave some room under the flower for the greeting.
7- Stamp your choice of greeting underneath the flower in Garden Green Ink.
8- On the Basic White Cardstock 3 1/8” x 5 3/8” piece
stamp the Forget-Me-Not image in Garden Green ink. Color with Watercolor
Pencils. I used Blue, Green & Yellow colors. Add this to the back of the
center panel as an area to write your message.
All Done!
Card #2
Garden Green Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ¼” see template for

Basic White Cardstock – 4 ¼” x 5 ½” – 3 1/8” x 5 3/8” – 2”
Circle – scraps for stamping
Forget-Me-Not Cardbase – Kit
Clear Enamel Dots – Kit
1- Stamp the Forget-Me-Not Flower image in Garden Green ink along the left and right edges about 2” – 3” into the center. Score the 8 ¼” x 5 ½” Cardbase at 1 ½” & 2 ½” from both the left & right sides.
2- Fold both sides in front of the center panel in a Z
shape. Use a Bone Folder to make crisp folds.
3- Add the front flap, Grasses & Flowers, to the bottom left corner of the left panel. Only add adhesive to the left side.
4- On the 4 ¼” x 5 ½” Basic White piece, use Blending Brushes to create a gradient from Garden Green ink to Crushed Curry. Trim down to 3 1/8” x 5 3/8”. Adhere to the center panel.
5- Stamp your greeting in Garden Green ink inside a 2” Circle from Basic White Cardstock. You can use the Layering Circle Dies to cut out the circle. Add to the center panel with a dimensional in the center. Make sure it is not being covered by the grasses.
6- Stamp two Forget-Me-Not Flower in Garden Green on some scrap paper. Color with Watercolor Pencils and fussy cut out. Separate the top 3 flowers from the bottom 3 flowers. Add them around the greeting.
7- On the Basic White Cardstock 3 1/8” x 5 3/8” piece stamp the Forget-Me-Not image in Garden Green ink. Color with Watercolor Pencils. I used Blue, Green & Yellow colors. Add this to the back of the center panel as an area to write your message.
