Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. Today is my fourth alternative card idea using the March 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Here’s To You. For this card, I wanted to highlight the stencils again and show a different way to use them. The Shimmery White Embossing Paste makes the stars in this card really pop! Plus, it is so easy to use! Make sure to watch the video to learn my tips and tricks. I hope you enjoy this tutorial.
I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit. 1- Trim the Kraft Envelope to 3 ¼” x 4 ¼”. Use washi tape to hold it onto some scrap paper. Lay the Star Stencil on top and hold in place with washi tape. Mix about a teaspoon of Shimmery White Embossing Paste with a drop of Pretty Peacock ink refill with a palette knife. Once well mixed, spread over the stencil making sure to get an even coat. Remove stencil and washi tape and let dry.
2- Stamp the Pinetree image in Mossy Meadow about ¾” from the bottom of the cardbase on both left and right sides. Use the 2nd generation technique (don’t reink before stamping again) to add depth and layers.
3- Stamp the greeting “Time For A New Adventure” on the
Large Rectangle Label in Calypso Coral. Tie a bow with 8” of Linen Thread and
add behind the greeting on the right side.
4- Adhere the stars to the center of the cardbase. Lay the yellow cloud strip about 1” from the bottom, add the pink cloud strip just below and staggered. Add the Pretty Peacock Pinetrees over the clouds at the bottom of the star piece.
5- Add the greeting with dimensionals under the clouds and to the right of the trees.
All Done!
