Today I would like to share with you some fun alternative handmade cards using the May 2020 Paper Pumpkin Subscription Kit “A Kit in Color”. I love this kit’s stamp set. The big bold greetings and the fun rainbow arches are a great addition to my collection. I have used the elements from one card to create 2 different cards with just a couple extra pieces of cardstock from my stash. I also experiment with 2 different ways to use the Cloud Cutouts and show a unique way to use the rainbow stamps. I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more videos as I continue to create with this month’s kit.
It is Paper Pumpkin Week here on CreativeChelsey. This is the first tutorial this week. Make sure to keep coming back for more.

Card #1
1- Begin by trimming the original cardbase. Remove the front pattern from the back. Cut the plain back side to 4” x 5 ¼” and the pattern side to 3 ¾” x 5”.
2- Trim the envelope on the right and left sides. Open and remove the white back from the color front.
3- Use one of the outside pieces that holds the cloud cutouts as a stencil. Start with the Just Jade plain piece and use tape to keep it from moving. Arrange one of the cloud openings over the cardstock and use tape to hold it in place. Use the Misty Moonlight ink spot and lightly add color into the opening. Keep the color only to the edges and the top half. Move the clouds around and use different sizes to create a nice back ground for the card. (you may want to watch the video below to see how it is done)
7- Stamp the “hey” and the “You” from You’re Amazing in Misty Moonlight on the white side of the envelope. If you need you can use versamark to get a good image (see video for more details).
8- Stamp the rainbow on the envelope. Use the back side of the stamps to get a thicker image. Large Arch in Melon Mambo with the back of the stamp, Middle Arch in Pumpkin Pie with the front of the stamp. Small Arch in Misty Moonlight with the back of the stamp.
10- Use the Layering Circle Dies and cut a 2 1/8” circle from the top of the Pumpkin Pie Pattern in the envelope. Keep it to one side so you can cut a second for the next card.
11- Place the Just Jade piece in the center of the Whisper White cardstock. Tie the 14” of bakers twine along the bottom of the whisper white cardstock so the tie is in the center and about 1” from the bottom. Add to the card in the bottom left corner.
12- Place the Pumpkin Pie circle to the right of the baker’s twine. Add the rainbow over the circle and above the twine.
13- Add the small cloud at the base of the rainbow and to the right of the twine knot with dimensionals. Add some Wink of Stella on the cloud. Add the “hey” with dimensionals at the top of the cloud and add “You” in the cloud.
All Done!
Card #2
2- Stamp the “You’re Amazing” and two of the 3 line image (happy lines) image in Melon Mambo on the white envelope. Fussy cut.
3- With the second outside piece that holds the cloud cutouts. Trim an outline around the large and medium size clouds. Trim about 1/8” around each opening.
5- Add the Pumpkin Pie circle to the top left corner of the pattern Just Jade piece. Add the large outline cloud image to the right and a little over the circle.
6- Add the Large Cloud to the left side and over the bottom of the Pumpkin Pie circle. Add some wink of stella over the large cloud. Add the medium outline cloud on the left over the bottom of the large cloud.
7- Trim off any pieces that hang over the edges. Add to the cardbase at an angle over the Melon Mambo cardstock.
8- Add the greeting with dimensionals and the happy lines on the left and right sides of the greeting.
All Done!
