I am so excited to share with you today my first Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card using the February 2020 Kit “Lovely Day”. This kit is so beautiful! It comes with everything you need to create 9 full size cards & envelopes. My favorite element in this kit are the foam rose gold printed words, they are gorgeous. I have used the elements in this kit to create these beautiful birthday cards. I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more videos as I continue to create with this month’s kit.
It is Paper Pumpkin Week here on CreativeChelsey. This is the first tutorial this week. Make sure to keep coming back for more.

Card #1
1- Cut the papers from the kit – Use 1 Rich Razzleberry cardbase from the kit. Cut from the bottom 1/8”. It should be 5 3/8”. Then rotate the cardbase and cut at 4 1/8” then flip and cut another 4 1/8”. This will remove the score line that is in the middle and give you 2 card fronts that are 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”
2- Trim off the scallop edge from white paper in the kit. Start with the top and bottom edges and remove 3/8”. Then do the same to the other sides. Keep these for other cards. Your finished size should be around 3 ¼” x 4 ½”
3- Stamp the large flower image in Rococo Rose over the sponging on the white cardstock that we trimmed off the scallops.
4- Stamp the words “Have a” and “Birthday” in Rococo Rose on the Z shape label from the kit. Make sure the longer label is on the bottom. You will want to stamp the “Have a” in the top right side of the top label. Then the “Birthday” in the bottom left corner of the bottom label. This should make it so you can adhere the foam word “lovely” between the Z label.
5- Stamp the small flower image in Rococo Rose on the small white cardstock. Use sponge daubers to add Petal Pink and Old Olive on the flower and leaves. Start lightly, you can add more if you want. It is okay if it goes outside the lines. Fussy cut this image out.
6- Add one Rich Razzleberry cardbase we cut down to the white cardbase. There should be a slight border all the way around. Add the white flower cardstock at an angle to the bottom left area of the card.
7- Wrap some Rose Metallic Thread around your hand 5X. Then add this to the back of the greeting. Place the small flowers behind the greeting near the “y”. Add this element to the top right of the card.
8- Add some of the sequins from the kit around the greeting or flower images.
All Done!
Card #2
2- Add one of the scallop edges we removed from the fist card and to the bottom area of the Old Olive cardstock. Stamp the “lovely” in Old Olive ink on the right side, make sure to leave some space for the small flowers. Stamp “You’re” from the long greeting in Old Olive on some white scrap cardstock.
3- Add one Rich Razzleberry cardbase we cut down to the white cardbase. There should be a slight border all the way around. Add the vellum cardstock to the center of the card. Make sure to hide the adhesive behind other elements. Add the Old Olive over the vellum near the bottom.
4- Wrap some Rose metallic thread around your hand 5X and add to the back of the large flower.
5- Add both flowers to the card. The larger flower to the left of the greeting and the small flower to the right. I placed dimensionals on the right side of the large flower and snail adhesive to the left, this will keep a shadow off the greeting. I did the same with the small flower- A dimensional on the flower, but used snail for the stem.
6- Cut around the “You’re” and add it above the “Lovely”. Add sequins around the images.
All done
