1- Cut both Cardbases in half at 4 ¼”.

2- Trim the floral side 1/16” all the way around so the finished size is 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” – Card #2.

3- Cut 2” x 4 ¼” from the back Solid Balmy Blue side. Trim down to 4 1/8” – Card #1.

4- Cut (2) 1 ¾” x 4 ¼” (or 1 7/8” x 4 1/4" if you want it a little bigger) from one of the Sky pieces. Trim the two pieces down to 4 1/8” – Card #1. Save the bottom lighter piece for a future alternative card.

5- Put together Card #1 – Add the two sky pieces to the top and bottom of the cardbase. Make sure to have an even border along all three edges, with an opening in the middle.

Wrap the Balmy Blue piece with 20” of Baker’s Twine and tie a bow on the right side about ½” from the edge.

Add this piece to the center of the cardbase covering the gap. Make sure the edges line up with the pieces already on the cardbase.

Trim off a straight edge of gold from the leftover Banner piece. Remove any white from the gold.

Tuck the Circle Label under the Twine so it is in the center of the cardbase (do not adhere yet).

Add the Gold Strip just above the Twine. Trim off any overhang so it matches the circle shape.

Stamp your greeting above the Gold Strip and near the gold circle on the right side in Pebbled Path ink. Adhere the Circle Label to the cardbase underneath the Twine.

Add one of the Curved Flower Die Cuts with dimensionals to the left side of the greeting.

6- Put together Card #2 – Add the Floral Cardbase piece to the center of the cardbase.

Cut the Square Label Scrap in half so you have two separate border pieces.

Fussy cut around each label so you only have the gold showing.

Using a ruler or grid paper, layer the two square borders on top of each other so their corners sit in the center of the other straight edge.

Adhere them together with Tear & Tape that has been cut lengthwise so it is skinnier. See video below for a walk through of this step.

Add the attached border pieces to the center of the cardbase.

Add the Curved Flower Die Cut to the left side with dimensionals leaving enough space for your greeting.

Stamp your greeting in Pebbled Path in the open space to the right of the flowers. Make sure you don’t have any ink along the clear block, this might get on other parts of your card. The ink should only be on the stamp.

Add 3-5 Gems.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step:

  1. What beautiful cards! I love how you make use of what would seem to be scraps to add the elegant touch of gold. Have two friends in mind whom I will be making cards for today. Thank you for sharing your talent and creativity!
