Alternative Treat Box Idea - Paper Pumpkin September 2022 Spooky Treats - Make More With Your Kit

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my second alternative idea using the September 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Spooky Treats.

This kit comes with everything you need to make 18 Halloween Treat Boxes, 6 in three different designs. This kit is so fun. I love the bold color combination, the cute die cuts & stamp images. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative projects. Today I am sharing how you can make three more treat boxes using just one part of the original box template. This is great for those who want to make treat boxes and cards. I love creating alternative projects with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit.

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

1- Begin by stamping a design on the box template. I did something different for each box. White – Spiders in Fresh Freesia, Black – Stars in VersaMark & White Heat Emboss, Orange – Bats in Memento Black Ink.

2- Identify which side will be the top of the box. I marked a T on the flap. Cut ¾” off the flap on the top.

3- Rotate and cut 1” from the large section on the side with the tab – this will be the back of the box.

4- Add Tear & Tape adhesive to the bottom flaps. See image for location.

5- Adhere flaps to the sides first.

6- Then adhere the shorter section across the back of the box.

7- Next add Tear & Tape adhesive to the back of the back piece that will cover the whole back. Adhere.

8- Cut the top flaps at an angle. Begin in the middle and cut to the top corner. This will make it easier for them to slide into the box.

9- Close the box.

10- Cut a large scrap piece to 2” x 2 ½” and add with dimensionals in the center of the box. To get the yellow color I added Crushed Curry ink with a Blending Brush to a scrap piece from the white box template.

11- Stamp your greeting in Orchid Oasis. Decorate with scraps & die cut pieces. See images above for placement ideas.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step and some of the details from the other cards:
