Today I would like to share with you my Customer Appreciation Products for purchases made in October 2021. If it isn’t October anymore you can find my current Customer Appreciation Products on my blog: http://creativechelsey.blogspot.com/p/shop-stampin-up-products.html

The products you can receive are listed below. They work together so well to create beautiful seasonal or holiday handmade cards. In this tutorial, I share how to create this card using the Words of Cheer Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!. It does come in a bundle with the  coordinating Christmas Cheer Dies. I am also sharing a fun die cutting technique call Partial Die Cutting to create Beautiful Borders. I have done this technique on my channel/blog before, but wanted to revisit it with some holiday themed stamps. You can check out my first video/blog post here: https://youtu.be/mtgfYFPu7w4 or http://creativechelsey.blogspot.com/2020/03/handmade-card-technique-partial-border.html

I hope you enjoy this handmade card tutorial and come back for more. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! You can tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com

Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine 149653 $120.00

1- Begin by stamping the large flower image in Crumb Cake ink along the right edge of the cardbase. I stamped it two times. They did overlap a little in the center. You want as much of the image right next to the edge of the carbase.

2- Color in the image with a Blender Pen and coordinating ink pads. I used: Blushing Bride – flowers, Bumblebee – berries, Misty Moonlight – vines, Evening Evergreen – pine boughs, Soft Succulent – leaves. Tip: After picking up the color from the ink pad with the Blender Pen, the color will be the darkest as you start coloring. It will fade as you continue to color.

3- Line up the coordinating die with the flower image. Use a ruler to make a mark at 1 ½” from the right edge of the cardbase. Make a mark at the top, center, & bottom. Line up the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine Top Cutting Plate so it covers the 1 ½” area and is even with these markings. Run through your machine. Repeat on the other flower.

4- Line up the center score line of your cardbase at 3” on your Paper Trimmer. Use the cutting blade and remove any areas between the flowers or at the top & bottom that are hanging (not part of the flowers). Do this slowly so you don't cut into the flowers. The image to the left shows the straight lines that were cut with the Paper Trimmer.

5- Add the Evening Evergreen strip to the right edge on inside of the cardbase. Add the 5 ½” Silver strip over the vellum matching it on the left edge. You should see a little silver showing through to the front when the card is closed.

6- Stamp your greeting on a label from the Seasonal Label Dies in Evening Evergreen. Use the Banners Pick A Punch and flag the ends of the 3 ½” Silver strip. Add this behind the greeting. Attach 13” of Ribbon in a “Z” fold behind the silver strip. Add this to the center of the cardbase.

7- Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach 10 or so Subtle Shimmer Sequins around your card.

All Done!

  1. WOW!!! What a beautiful card. Thankfully there's a die to cut that, I'd hate to do all that fussy cutting, though it would be worth it!
