Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today is my second alternative project using the December 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Beary Comforting. I really love how this card uses the simple idea of layering to create a fun background for the cute animal die cuts to sit on. I hope this card inspires you to create something fun with your kit.
I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more tutorials as I continue to create with this month’s kit. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! 1- Remove the front of the Rich Razzleberry Cardbase from the back by cutting at 4 ¼”. Then cut the envelope pattern to 3 ½” x 3 ½” square.
2- From the Rich Razzleberry Cardbase fussy cut all the gold leaves. Remove the center strip from the Koala die cut.
3- Stamp the greeting “You are on my mind” in Rich Razzleberry ink in the center of the circle label. Stamp the leaf image in Soft Sea Foam in the upper left and bottom right corner of the cardbase.
4- Add the 3 ½” stripe piece to the back and center of the Rich Razzleberry Gold leaf piece. Add this to the card front. I placed it about 1” from the top.
5- Add the Koala & the greeting to the center with dimensionals.
6- Roll each leaf around a bone folder and adhere around the Koala and greeting with a glue dot. Make sure to fill in between the existing gold leaves.
7- Cut 10” of Gold Twine and let it unravel (I keep one side tied in a knot so I don’t lose any threads). Tie a bow and adhere near the greeting. Add three Wonderful Gems.
All Done!
