Three Cardbase Patterns on One Card - Fun Alternative Card Idea - Paper Pumpkin Kit - September 2025

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Today I begin sharing fun fall themed Alternate Card Ideas you can make with supplies from the September 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Fall For Toile.

The cards in this kit have beautiful brass foiling details and great die cut pieces and are perfect for this time of year.  The kit makes a total of 9 cards 3 of three different designs with coordinating envelopes.

For my first alternative I wanted to separate the tree from the frame and came up with this easy design that incorporates all three cardbases from the kit.

Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. Pecan Pie Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Linen Thread – 14”-16”

Tan Toile Pattern Cardbase KIT – 4” x 5 ¼”

Brown Plaid Cardbase KIT – (2) 2 ¾” x ½”

White Linen Texture Cardbase KIT – 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”

Tree & Frame Die Cut KIT

 

1- Make sure to use the Cutting Guide (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1y3ZtqNfOvwrgObRzuZG32AxofBYORsvM/view?usp=sharing) to cut your pattern paper to the right size from the cardbases in the kit.

2- Remove the Tree from the inside of the Frame with your Paper Trimmer. Line the edge where they meet in the center of the cutting guide on your Paper Trimmer. Place the blade in the center and cut, stopping on the inside of the frame, so you don’t cut the frame. See video below.

3- Add the tree to the left side of the White Linen Texture piece with dimensionals.

4- Stamp your greeting in Cajun Craze on the right side of the tree anywhere it will fit.

5- Add the Brown Plaid strips at the top and bottom of the White Linen Thread piece with about ¼” showing.

6- Wrap 14” or 16” of Linen Thread below the greeting. You can thread it under the tree or wrap it on top. Tie a bow near the tree trunk.

7- Add the Tan Toile piece to the center of the cardbase. Add the Tree piece in the middle with dimensionals.
