A Quick & Simple Card Idea using the Farmhouse Florals August 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Stampin' Up!

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Over the last week I have shared some great card ideas you can make with from the August 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Farmhouse Florals.

The cards in this kit have beautiful floral mixed with farmhouse images like a window pane, basket & typewriter. I love the simplicity of these cards and wanted to carry it into my alternatives as well.  The kit makes a total of 9 cards 3 of three different designs with coordinating envelopes.

Today I am sharing my sixth alternative card idea. This is a quick and simple card that uses the front of the typewriter cardbase. I love the little details I added to step it up.

Cloud Cover Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Darling Duckling Cardstock – scrap for accent piece

Typewriter Cardbase (kit) – 3-5/8” x 4”

¼” Strip from any Cardbase (kit)

Single Yellow Flower Die Cuts (kit)

 

1- Make sure to use the Cutting Guide (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w8SVMCWiI6t93VmcuvO6yF5Ua8c34ucH/view?usp=sharing) to cut your pattern paper to the right size from the cardbases in the kit.

2- Splatter with a Blue Ink over the Cloud Cover Cardbase. I used a Dark Misty Moonlight Blend Marker.

3- If you want, round the corners of the Typewriter Cardbase piece. I used a retired punch. Add this to the middle of the cardbase with a little extra space on the bottom.

4- Add a greeting inside the Paper in the Typewriter. I used the ¼” strip from leftover scraps when I was cutting up my cardbases from the kit. Stamp any greeting you want in Secret Sea ink and then cut up the words to fit.

I used the “Good Friends….” Greeting and cut it up to say “I’m so glad we are friends”.

5- Add a little detail with Darling Ducking Cardstock to the top left corner. I used a retired Banner Punch. You could do the same with a 5/8” strip. Tie a bow with 8” of Linen Thread and add with a small glue dot inside the Banner.

6- Add the last Single Yellow Flower to the right side of the Typewriter. You can make it look like it is behind the Typewriter by cutting a straight edge from one of the petals.

All Done!

Secret Sea Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Cloud Cover Cardstock – 4” x 5-1/4”

Darling Duckling Cardstock – 2-3/4” x 4-1/4”

Old Olive Cardstock – scrap for die cuts

Basket of Flowers Cardbase (kit) – 2-3/4” x 4-1/4”

Typewriter Die Cut (kit)

Yellow & Orange/Pink Flower Die Cuts (kit)

Ripped Paper Label (kit)

 

1- Make sure to use the Cutting Guide (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w8SVMCWiI6t93VmcuvO6yF5Ua8c34ucH/view?usp=sharing) to cut your pattern paper to the right size from the cardbases in the kit.

2- Stamp with the Long Repeating Pattern Image in Secret Sea across the entire Cloud Cover piece.

Tear the top and bottom edges and distress slightly. Add to the middle of the Secret Sea Cardbase with a little extra space along the bottom.

3- On the Basket Cardbase piece (plain) stamp with Pecan Pie the group of Three Stars randomly. Wrap 10” of Linen Thread around the bottom. I wanted a double wrapped look with out wasting thread so I adhered the ends to the back with Tear & Tape, see video.

4- Add the Darling Duckling piece behind at an angle. Then add everything to the cardbase at a slight angle.

5- Stamp your greeting inside the Ripped Paper Label in Secret Sea ink and tuck it inside the Typewriter Die Cut. Add this to the center of the White piece over the Linen Thread with dimensionals.

6- Cut out some Leaf Shapes from Old Olive Cardstock, I used the Leaf Die Cut from the Perfectly Pears Dies. Separate them into smaller sections and tuck them around the Typewriter, use dimensionals as you wish.

7- Separate all the Die Cut Flowers from the kit and tuck them around the Typewriter near the leaves. There will be one Yellow Flower you don’t use – save for tomorrow’s card.

8- Wrap 8” of Linen Thread around the Linen Thread on the card and tie a bow.

All Done!

A Beautiful Basket Full of Flowers - Alternative August 2025 Farmhouse Florals Paper Pumpkin Card

Today I am sharing another beautiful card, this being my fourth card idea with this kit. For this card I am filling the basket with some colorful stamped and die cut flowers and adding a little detail with Stampin’ Blend Markers.

1- Make sure to use the Cutting Guide (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w8SVMCWiI6t93VmcuvO6yF5Ua8c34ucH/view?usp=sharing) to cut your pattern paper to the right size from the cardbases in the kit.

2- Cut a Fishtail Banner from the Basic Beige Cardstock piece and then roughen it by crinkling it into a ball and then flatten out. Splatter with a brown ink, I used Pecan Pie Blend Marker. Add this to the Crumb Cake Cardbase about ½” from the left edge.

3- On the Basket Cardbase piece (plain) stamp with Petunia Pop ink the Branch with Flowers image. Use the Stamp off – Stamp on Technique to get a lighter tone. Stamp three in the top half of the cardstock.

4- With the Small Single Flower in Poppy Parade stamp a group of three together around the Branch Flowers.

5- Add the Fresh Freesia strip to the left side of the Basket piece with about 1/8” showing. Add this to the center of the Cardbase.

6- Add the Basket Die Cut with dimensionals below the stamped flowers making it look like they are inside the basket. Add the Handle above the Basket with adhesive on the ends so you can tuck flowers underneath it.

7- Cut out some Leaf Shapes from Old Olive Cardstock, I used the Leaf Die Cut 2X from the Perfectly Pears Dies. Add a little extra color to the Solid Side with the Dark Mossy Meadow Blend Marker. Separate them into smaller sections and tuck them inside and outside the basket, use dimensionals as you wish.

8- Cut out small flowers from Darling Ducking Cardstock. I used the Group of Small Flowers from the Perfectly Pears Dies. Add a little extra color to the centers with the Light Wild Wheat Blend Marker. Add these around the leaves and under the handle use dimensionals as you wish.

9- Cut out 2 Very Vanilla and 2 Petal Pink Flowers with the Flower Die in the Circle of Season Dies. Add a little extra color to the centers with the Light Calypso Coral & Light Wild Wheat Blend Markers. Add these around the leaves and basket use dimensionals as you wish.

10- Stamp a greeting on the Tag Label with Secret Sea ink. Add this with a dimensional on the left side and a glue dot under the open circle to the left of the basket so the open area touches a handle.

11- With 8” of Linen Thread tie a bow and attach it inside the open area of the Tag.
