Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my last alternative idea using the June 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Welcome Inn.
This beautiful kit creates 9 handmade cards. There are enough supplies to make three of each card. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative projects.
For this card, I wanted something that would use the last pieces that I had leftover from making my past projects. So, today I am sharing with you an easy scrap card with the leftover pattern and solid pieces from the kit. Similar cards can be made with any color cardbase and coordinating pattern or solid paper. I hope you like the simple design and versatility.
If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

1- Cut your scraps pieces to any width x 4 ¼”.
2- Adherer the scraps to some thin copy paper. You can overlap or even add them at different angles. Make sure to cover the copy paper entirely. Trim all sides of the copy paper at 1/8” to get an even border. The finished size should be 4” x 5 ¼”. Add this to the front of your coordinating cardbase.
3- Stamp the Vase Image in Boho Blue on the top left area of the label. This creates a background for the Printed Vase to pop against. If you don’t have Boho Blue you could do a stamp off and stamp on with the Night of Navy ink spot from the kit.
4- Stamp a large greeting on the left side of the label
in Night of Navy ink. I used “thank you” from the Good Feelings Stamp Set.
5- Stamp three flowers in a Calypso Coral ink. Add the Stem Stamp in Old Olive ink to two of them. Fussy cut out.
6- Add the Printed Vase between the two stamped images (Boho Blue Vase & Greeting) with a dimensional strip.
7- Add the flowers to the vase with dimensionals. I add one
stemmed flower on the left, the other in the middle, and the single flower slightly
over the top of the vase.
8- Stamp the Greenery image in Old Olive and fussy cut out some leaves. Tuck these leaves in between the flowers with glue dots.
9- Cut a small banner with the small banner die cut from the Countryside Corners Dies from Basic White Cardstock. Slide the die cut down to about center of the small banner label and cut again, this will give you a smaller label (see video below). Stamp the “friend” greeting in Night of Navy in the center and add with a dimensional strip on the left side over the Vase. Tuck a glue dot under the greeting on the right if you need to tack it down.
10- Add the label to the center of the cardbase with dimensional strips. Add three Night of Navy Enamel Dots.
All Done!
I have also created a video walking you through each step:
