Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey.
Today I am sharing with you my first alternative cards using the December 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit called All The Best. This beautiful kit creates a total of 9 greeting card, three in 3 different designs. Plus it includes one acetate gift box that fits the cards. These are the intended projects you can make with the kit, they are so beautiful with the soft colors and gold accents.
Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store. A full supply list is below.
Today’s first set of cards are colorful and fun. They highlight the dandelion card base from the kit.

1- Cut the Dandelion Cardbase in half along the score line @ 4 ¼”. Cut one side down to 3 ¾” x 5” for Card #1. Rotate the other piece and cut at 2 ¾” making it 2 ¾” x 4 ¼” for Card #2.
2- Cut the Banner in half length wise. Line up the straight edge with the top of your Paper Trimmer and the mid-point of the fish tail edge with the trim line. The section pointing to the left is for Card #1. Stamp “A thousand” & “good luck” separately on this piece. See image for placement. Only add Pebbled Path ink to each section at a time (see video if needed).
The one pointing to the right is for Card #2. Stamp “Wishes” using the same technique in the center of this piece.
3- Remove the folded edges from the envelope by trimming a small amount off with your Paper Trimmer. This will separate the front from the back. Fussy cut out the large dandelion on the front, for Card #1
4- Stamp your greeting, I used “A thousand good luck wishes” twice in Pebbled Path in the white space on the envelope. Fussy cut out “wishes” for Card #1 & “A thousand” for Card #2.
5- Put together Card #1 – Layer the Basic White piece at an angle behind the Dandelion piece. Add these to the center of the cardbase at an angle with dimensionals.
Add adhesive to the straight edges of the dandelion from the envelope, I used liquid adhesive. Place it along the right side with the straight edges matching the right & bottom edges of the Dandelion piece.
Slide the Banner underneath the flower just below the
bloom. Adhere with adhesive after it is in place.
Add “wishes” with dimensionals just under the banner, making sure you can still see the smaller dandelions.
Fold the 24” of twine in half, then find the halfway
point and tie a double bow. Add this near the end of wishes.
6- Put together Card #2 – Add the smaller Dandelion piece about 1” from the top of the cardbase.
Add the banner to the left edge with dimensionals.
Place the Single Flower die cut to the left of the greeting, with a dimensional behind the bloom and a glue dot behind the leaf.
Add “A” & “thousand” with dimensionals above the
banner near the flower.
Add 3-5 Balmy Blue Gems around the greeting.
All Done!
I have also created a video walking you through each step:
