I am very excited to share with you today a Sneak Peek at some new products in the Stampin’ Up January – June 2020 Mini Catalog.
These projects were made with the Under My Umbrella Stamp Set and it’s coordinating Umbrella Builder Punch. Today I use some basic watercolor and heat embossing techniques to add texture and color to a “little soggy scene”. This is such a great springtime stamp set. The greetings are very versatile – you could use them for baby or bridal showers, thinking of you, birthday, and friendship cards – so many possibilities.

1- Paint a watercolor wash on the large Whisper White cardstock. Use the aqua painter and Pool Party ink. Let dry.
2- Stamp all images with White craft ink on the coordinating color cardstock. Before you stamp rub embossing buddy over the paper to remove static. After stamping each image immediately sprinkle white embossing powder over the image & tap off. Then heat with a Heat Tool. Repeat for all images.
Blackberry Bliss – greeting
Mossy Meadow – boots
Calypso Coral – umbrella
Whisper White – 3 flowers
3- With the aqua painter add Crushed Curry and Old Olive to the white flowers and leaves. Let dry.
4- On the dry large Whisper White cardstock stamp the rain drops in Pool Party. Repeat the image over the watercolor wash.
5- Punch out images. Use the 1 ½” circle punch for the greeting. Don’t forget to punch out the handle of the umbrella with the 2” x 2” of crumb cake cardstock.
6- Fussy cut the boots and the dry flowers. You do want some color on the outside edge of the image so the white embossing stands out.
7- To assemble – Begin by adhering the Pool Party DSP to the center of the card. Then add the large Blackberry bliss cardstock in the center.
8- Add the Whisper White cardstock with the rain drops to the center with dimensionals.
9- Add the Mossy Meadow boots first in the bottom left corner. Add the Crumb Cake handle at an angle. Add the Calypso Coral umbrella. Last add two flowers around the boots and umbrella and the smallest by the greeting.
10- Add snail to the back of the greeting and adhere some silver metallic thread in loops. Then place dimensionals over the thread and add it to the card.
All done!
