Big Shot & Magnetic Platform w/ Cutting Pads
So now that we have everything lets get started!!
First - Cut out rectangles and words using the framelits from the pillowcase box that was in the Paper Pumpkin Kit. This cute box has 2 different patterns that coordinate perfectly. Also cut the largest rectangle from some Whisper White Cardstock. I love these framelits because they add that cute stitched look on the rectangle and the window. There are so many creative possibilities.
Now watercolor the Pool Party Heart Melon Mambo. What... How... It is blue.... well...
Turn it over... ta da! It is white!
I like to watercolor by pressing the ink pad onto my clear block, this gives me ink I can pick up with my paintbrush. Now add some clean water to the heart, then quickly add some color so it can move around as the water sets into the paper. Add more water or color as you want. I also did some splattering to add more interest. You can let it air dry or quick set it with your heat tool.
Now lets make those cute little words SILVER! Place them on a scrap paper and ink them up with the VersaMark Ink Pad. This sticky ink will help the powder stick to the words.
Once they are good and sticky. Cover generously half of the word with silver embossing powder. Since these words are so small and hard to handle I found that only doing half of the word at a time makes it easier.
Heat set the powder until it is nice and shiny. Then cover the other half with the powder and heat set. Repeat for the other word.
Let's put the card together! Take you white rectangle and glue it on top the Melon Mambo rectangle vertically a little to the left. Then add the Pool Party horizontally piece to the bottom half. In the little space created by the 2 pieces add some the cute little floating hearts from the stamp set. Stamp them in Melon Mambo.
Wrap some silver thread around your hand, cut and add it to the back of your heart. I like to run some snail on the paper so the thread can adhere. Then place some dimensionals on the heart and place on your card. Stamp a sentiment from the stamp set in Pool Party to the longer piece of white paper from the kit. Then adhere it to the front of the heart. Use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the "Love" and "You" pieces and any accessories like sequins to your card. You could also use the Enamel Hearts if you want.
Now adhere this piece to your Whisper White Card & we are all done!
If you like decorating your envelopes I loved the slanted lines in the bottom corner in Pool Party and a couple hearts stamped around it.
