October 2022 Paper Pumpkin Alternative - New Layout Idea for Handmade Christmas Greeting Cards

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my third alternative idea using the October 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Ho Ho Ho.

This kit comes with everything you need to make 9 Christmas Cards, 3 in three different designs. This kit is so fun. I love the fun color combination, the cute die cuts & stamp images. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative projects.

Today I am sharing with you a fun layout for any handmade greeting card. I was inspired by this card which was created for the Stampin’ Through The Catalog Instagram Account. What I loved from this card were the 6 sections used for the background.

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

It is Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. This is the third alternative this week. If you would like to see all my alternatives check out the playlist here:

1- Open the Crumb Cake Envelope and cut six 1 ½” squares.

2- From the Crumb Cake Cardbase cut six 1 5/8” squares. Use the Crumb Cake side.

3- The leftover back piece from the Cherry Cobbler & Crumb Cake Cardbase cut 3 5/8” x 5 ½”

4- Layer the six envelope squares with the pinstripe side up on top of the Crumb Cake 1 5/8” squares.

5- Add all six in a grid to the Cherry Cobbler piece with dimensionals.

6- Wrap 11” of Glitter Ribbon around the bottom gap and tie with 10” of Linen Thread. Tie a bow and trim the ends of the ribbon to an angle.

7- Add your elements. I placed the medium and small snowflake on the right side and the Santa die cut on the left. Flag the ends of the green strip and add below the ribbon.

8- Add Merry between the Santa and ribbon. Then Stamp Christmas in Early Espresso ink on a small white label. Adhere below Merry.

9- Adhere this to the front of the cardbase with about ¼” on the left side. Add three Vanilla Pearls.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step and some of the details from the other cards:
