Creative & Company Team Showcase - Kathleen Champion

I love sharing some of my team members creations last year and wanted to do that again this year. I hope you will enjoy seeing some different styles and ideas you can do with the bundles they selected. Today I am so excited to introduce Kathleen Champion @stampwithchamp as my Creative & Company Team Showcase Stamper for March. She wanted to work with the Hooray For Surprises Bundles, which includes some really fun die cuts that can be removed to show hidden messages. Here is an image showing everything in the bundle.

Here is her first set of cards:

Kathleen found that this stamp set and bundle can be a little tricky. For this card she shares a great tip on how to perfectly line up the hidden sentiment. She created a template with the open Heart Die on Basic White Cardstock that was the exact measurement of the card front. By laying the template on top of the card front she was able to line up the greeting to stamp it on the Poppy Parade that is underneath.

She also used a Blender Pen to color the flowers on the front of the card. I love how it adds just the right amount of color.

I love the cute heart pattern from the Bee Mine Designer Series Paper as well as the Sweet Sorbet Bordered Ribbon & Adhesive Backed Hearts and Flowers as little accents.

I love how she added the same heart on the inside but with a stamped off, stamped on technique, giving it a lighter color so she can add a second greeting over the center. So cute!

For Card #2 Kathleen used the same placement technique for the long scalloped die to get the greeting in the correct place. Another quick tip she shared for this card is to die cut & stamp "Open Here" before embossing the card front.

I love the colors she used for the flowers. The combination of Berry Burst, Lemon Lolly & Pretty Peacock with the pop of Granny Apple Green are so bright and cheery.

This birthday card is so cute. I love the way she cut the Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper and placed it in such a fun way. This layout is a perfect idea for scrap pieces of DSP.

She also cut up the sentiment to give more interest and I love how it mimics the background pieces as well.

I love the elegance of her next card, I think it could be a really nice wedding or shower card idea. She die cut 9 hearts and arranged them on a Basic White card front before gluing everything down. After adhering them, she trimmed off any overhanging areas to create a seamless look.

She continues the white into the greeting on the Lost Lagoon heart with White Embossing Powder. This card is so elegant.

For Kathleen's last card she kept it simple with the Hooray sentiment from the stamp set. She used a masking technique to split up the sentiment so Hooray is on the front and "can't wait to see you" is on the inside. This stamp set has great sentiments for any occasion.

I love how she paired it with the Just Kiddin' Designer Series Paper. She said she cut out the two cute kids using her paper trimmer and then made the rest of the card fit that size.

Here are some of the products Kathleen used to create her cards. (this is not a full supply list)
