No Border Shaker Card - The Easiest Way To Make A Shaker Card - July 2023 Paper Pumpkin Alternative

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my fourth alternative idea using the July 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Fun In The Sun.

I love this Fun Fold Card Kit. It has everything you need to make 9 cards, three in three different designs. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with a couple other products to create alternative projects. Today I am sharing another shaker card idea. This one has No-Border which is one of the easiest ways to make a shaker card.

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com

It is Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. This is the fourth alternative this week. If you would like to see all my alternatives check out the playlist here:

1- Cut the Sunset Cardbase into four sections. Here is a picture of all 4 sections.

Remove the solid blue section by cutting two horizontal cuts along both the top & bottom score lines. Make sure to stop at the vertical cut line. You don’t want to cut all the way through the cardbase.

Cut the cardbase in half removing the front of the cardbase from the back. at the 4 ¼” score line.

Cut the 1” x 3 ½” strip from the light yellow back piece.

Trim off the Sand section from the front of the cardbase. I did this just above the white line.

Trim off the white edge from the Scalloped Sunset Piece. This will make a smooth transition from one piece to the other.

2- Begin by adhering the small sunset piece to the cardbase on the left side.

3- Place the 1” x 3 ½” light yellow piece to the back of the Scalloped Sunset piece. I did this by lining up the yellow strip to the top of the cardbase (do not adhere).

Then add a little adhesive behind the scallops at the top. Adhere it to the yellow piece so the scallops match the small section already on the cardbase. But do not adhere to the cardbase. See video.

4- Add this piece to the inside of one Clear Envelope. Wrap the extra envelope to the back of the piece and adhere with Tear & Tape adhesive.

5- Fill with your choice of Sequins. I used the Red Sequins from the Retired Sequins For Everything (they are currently in the Clearance Section for super cheap.) Make sure the sequins are in the front of the design.

Then close the top flap. Add this to the right side of the cardbase with dimensionals.

6- Add the Sand to the bottom of the cardbase with two layers of dimensionals. See video for details.

7- Add the Beach Chair to the left side of the cardbase. Place a starfish near the chair.

8- Stamp your greeting in Azure Afternoon ink on the Pale Blue Scrap piece. Cut down to fit. Add with dimensionals to your card.

9- Tie a bow with 10” of Linen Thread and place near the greeting.

All Done!
