Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my last (eighth) alternative idea using the July 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Fun In The Sun. Wow – This kit is making so many cards!
This fun & summery kit creates 9 handmade FUN FOLD cards. There are enough supplies to make three of each card. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative projects. Today I am sharing with you fun fold card that uses the last of the pieces I have from the kit. I am also sharing how you can make your own WAVES with the envelope that came in the kit. I love this technique and hope you do too.

1- Cut the left and right sides on the front of the cardbase at ¾”. Cut only to the score line, do not remove. Glue these sides down to the inside of the cardbase.
2- On the Light Blue Sky 2 ¼” x 4” stamp a sun in the top
right corner. Add this to the top on the center of the cardbase.
3- Tear the Envelope piece 4 ¼” x 3 ½” into 4 strips. Make sure the white shows on the Dark Blue side.
4- Cut the Surfboard Die Cut to 4”. Layer these strips behind the Surfboard Die Cut to create waves. Trim the sides so they are even at 4”.
5- Stamp 2-3 Starfish in Crumb Cake ink in the sand on the Surfboard Die Cut. Add this to the bottom on center of the cardbase with dimensionals only on the Surfboards.
6- Stamp your greeting on the Sign Die Cut in Azure Afternoon ink. I used Waving Hello and had to ink up each word individually to get it to fit inside the sign. See video for details. Add this to the right of the Surfboards with dimensionals.
7- Add the Crab & Seashells Die Cut with dimensionals.
8- Tie a knot around the inside of the cardbase with 18” of Natural Finish Ribbon. Fray the ends of the ribbon if you want.
9- Stamp 3 Starfish in the center on the inside of the cardbase.
