Two From One Cards - Plus How To Use A Blender Pen - June 2022 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Cards

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my second alternative idea using the June 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Pick Of The Crop.

This kit comes with everything you need to make 9 Handmade Cards, 3 in three different designs. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative cards. Today I am sharing a two for one similar to yesterday’s idea. I love creating alternative projects with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit.

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

It is Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. This is the first alternative this week. If you would like to see all my alternatives check out the playlist here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL40dV1oxpkNlOtITOGGFqs-HwbiuDCaLW

———————— What You Need ————————

Berry Cardbase

Envelope

(2) Basic White Thick Cardbase 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Large Berries Die Cut

(3) Small Strawberry & Blueberry Die Cuts

Basic White Cardstock 2 ¾” x 2 ½” & scraps for stamping

———————— Supplies I used to Make These Cards ————————

———————— My Favorite Supplies ————————

Card #1 – Berries on Top

1- Separate the front of the berry cardbase from the back by cutting each side at 4 3/16”. Tear the front side in half along the top of the berry baskets.

2- Place the berries over the back cardbase piece so the tops line up. With a pencil make a mark on the back where the blueberries touch the right edge along the tear line. Cut the back piece at this mark. Mine was about 3 1/8”.

3- Place the solid green piece at the bottom of the Thick White Cardbase. Add the Berries to the top.

There will be a tiny border. Don’t add adhesive to the bottom of the berries so you can tuck in the greeting.

4- Stamp “Hello” & “You are the sweetest” in Night of Navy ink on Basic White cardstock. Tear the bottom edge. Tuck under the berries on the right side of the card.

5- Use two Strawberry & Blueberry Die Cuts to add a little extra. Separate the blueberry from the strawberry. Add them to the bottom left corner with dimensionals & glue dots.

6- If you don’t have any more die cuts you can use the Strawberry Stamp. Ink up the fruit with Calypso Coral and the leaves with Garden Green. Stamp 3-4. Use the Blender Pen to add color to the Strawberries. See video below for details on how to use a Blender Pen. Fussy cut. Then add to the bottom left corner.

All Done!

Card #2 – Berries on Bottom

1- Remove 1/16” from each side of the envelope. Cut the back piece to 4 3/16” x 2 ¾”. Add to the top of the other cardbase. There will be a slight border.

2- Layer the Berry Basket piece on the bottom matching the same border size.

3- Layer the Large Berry Die Cut piece over the missing fruit so it matches with the basket.

4- Stamp “Hello” in Night of Navy in the top left corner and “You are the sweetest” in the bottom right corner.

5- Add one Strawberry & Blueberry Die Cut and the two Blueberries to the bottom left corner.

6- If you don’t have any more die cuts you can use the Blueberry Stamp. Stamp 3-4 with Night of Navy. Use the Blender Pen to add color. See video below for details on how to use a Blender Pen. Fussy cut. Then add to the bottom left corner with one of the Strawberries from the first card.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step and some of the details from the other cards:
