Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my third alternative idea using the June 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Pick Of The Crop.
This kit comes with everything you need to make 9 Handmade Cards, 3 in three different designs. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative cards. Today I am sharing a two cards that use many of the die cut pieces from the kit. I love creating alternative projects with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit.

Blue Picnic Blanket Cardbase
Large Bread Die Cut
(2) Small Bread Die Cuts
Lavender Die Cut

Fruit Pick Label & Matching Vellum Piece
Cart Die Cut
Green Leftover Piece from yesterday’s project (Berry Cardbase)
(2) 8” Linen Thread
Sahara Sand Cardbase 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼” & 2”
x 5 ½”
So Saffron Cardbase 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”
Blushing Bride Cardbase 1 ¼” x 4 3/16”
Basic White Cardstock 1 ½” Circle

Prep the cardbase:
Separate the front of the picnic cardbase from the back
by cutting each side at 4 ¼”. On the front cut out the picnic blanket by cutting
along the edge. I started with the larger triangles first. Take a look at the
video below for more details.
Place the largest triangle off to the side for the next
alternative card tomorrow.
Card #1 – Picnic Blanket
1- Emboss the Sahara Sand 2” strip with any embossing
folder I used the Brick & Mortar 3D folder. Add this to the cardbase about
1” from the top. Add the pink picnic blanket to the left of center.
2- Add the large bread with dimensionals at an angle. Then add the lavender and cheese with dimensionals.
3- Remove the triangle from the fruit pick label to create a rectangle. Also remove the triangle from the vellum as well. Stamp your greeting in Blackberry Bliss. Adhere to the vellum. Add with a dimensional.
4- Tie a bow with 8” of Linen Thread and add with a glue
dot by the greeting.
All Done!
Card #2 – Cart
1- Choose two triangle from the cardbase to use for the
bottom of the card. Double check that they fit nicely. Tear the angle to show
the white inside of the paper. Adhere to the corners with adhesive on the
bottom edge only.
2- On the leftover cardbase piece from yesterday’s projects, stamp the lavender image in Garden Green ink. Tear the top edge and tuck underneath the blue triangle.
3- Tear the Blushing Bride piece and tuck under the green piece.
4- Adhere the cart with dimensionals at the top and glue dots in the center of the wheels. Keep a little to the left of the card. Add two small loafs of bread to the left side of the card with glue dots.
5- Stamp your greeting on a 1 ½” circle in Night of Navy ink. Add to the right side of the cart with a dimensional
6- Tie a bow with 8” of Linen Thread.
