Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. Today is my third alternative card idea using the June 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Expressions In Color. This card is a fun twist on a Peek-a-boo Window Fun Fold. By adding the background elements first, then cutting you can create a seamless look going from the front to the inside. There are so many possibilities with this Fun Card Idea.
I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! 1- Add the 4” x 2 5/8” Vellum Pattern Paper to the bottom of the Bumblebee Cardbase. Add the Green Leaf Die Cut (removed one section for card #1) and the Pink Leaf Die Cut (removed one section for card #2) to the center with some of the leaves touching the top of the vellum piece. Make sure to add adhesive behind each leaf.
2- With a 3” Circle Die, cut a circle from the top half of the cardbase making sure it is centered. Add dimensionals to the back of the circle and adhere to the inside of the cardbase so it matches up with the front.
3- Stamp in Evening Evergreen on Basic White Cardstock three large flowers and five small flowers. Color in the flowers with coordinating colors. I used Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, & Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blend Markers. Then fussy cut out just the large flowers from the images and all the small flowers.
4- Punch or cut a banner from each end of the ½” x 4 ½” strip of Fresh Freesia. Add the Thank You vellum piece in the center of the strip. Add over the circle with dimensionals only on the sides. So it is attached to the front of the card and not the circle.
5- Tie a bow with 10” of Evening Evergreen Twine. Place under the circle on the front of the card with glue dots. Add a large flower over the center of the bow with a dimensional. Place the other large and small flowers around the greeting. Make sure some are on the circle. Place three sequins.
6- Stamp “For Everything” on the ½” strip of Basic White Cardstock and trim the sides. Add to the circle with dimensionals under the Thanks so you only see it when you open the card.
All Done!
