May 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Batter Up - Raised Panel Alternative Handmade Card - Stampin Up

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today is my first alternative project using the May 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Batter Up. This kit comes with everything you need to make 9 fun baseball themed handmade cards. Using the supplies in the kit I like to create alternative cards. Today I would like to share with you this Raised Panel Alternative Card Idea. This fun card uses the sunburst cardbase from the kit and then we remove a section and add dimensionals behind it to create a raised piece. I hope you enjoy learning how to make this card.

I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! 1- Remove the front from the back of the Sunburst Cardbase at 4 ¼”.

On the front of the card find the bottom left corner and place it so the bottom edge of the piece is at the top and the left edge is lined up on ½” to the right of the cut line. Make a cut with the blade going from ½” to 4 ½”.

Rotate so the bottom edge is now ½” on the right of the cut line and cut from 1” to 3 ¾” stopping at the previous cut.

Rotate so the right edge is at 1” on the right of the cut line and cut from 1” to 5” stopping at the cut line.

Rotate one last time so the top edge is now on the right of the cut line and cut from ½” to 3 ¼” or from one cut line to the other.

2- Remove 1/8” from the right and top of the “frame”. Adhere the outside “frame” to the center of the cardbase.

3- Place the panel in the center of the Night of Navy Cardstock with dimensionals. Adhere over the open space on the cardbase. Make sure the Sunburst lines line up with the ones on the cardbase.

4- Add the Baseball Die Cut to the edge of the 2 ¼” Vellum Circle with dimensionals. Add the Bat at an angle over the Ball use small pieces of dimensionals under the top and bottom.

5- Fussy cut around the All Star Die Cut to remove the excess white space. Add at the bottom of the Vellum Circle with dimensionals.

6- Add adhesive to the back of the vellum under the die cut pieces. Place on the card in the center of the Raised Panel. Stamp your choice of word in the small rectangle with Night of Navy ink. Add with a dimensional under All Star. Add three yellow dots.

7- Trim the back of the Sunburst cardbase down to 4" x 5 ¼” and adhere to the inside of the card.

All Done!
