Paper Pumpkin December 2020 - Beary Comforting | Coloring the Bear Stamp with Stampin' Blend Markers

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today is my first alternative project using the December 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Beary Comforting. This kit comes with everything you need to make 12 adorable cards. Using the supplies in the kit I like to create alternative cards. Today I would like to share with you how I color the Bear Stamp from the kit using the Stampin’ Blend Markers.

I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more videos as I continue to create with this month’s kit. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! 1- Trim the Envelope to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”. Cut 1 ¼” from the solid side of the Rich Razzleberry cardbase, then rotate and cut at 4 ¼”. Cut the Calypso Coral cardbase in half at 4 ¼” then rotate and cut again at 2 ¾”.

2- Stamp the bear & flower images on the scrap pieces of Whisper White Cardstock in Rich Razzleberry ink.

3- Color the Bear image with the Ivory & Bronze Stampin’ Write Markers. Use the Light Rococo Rose marker to add color to the ears, checks, and mouth, blend with the Ivory marker. Add shadows with the Dark Cinnamon Cider marker and blend with either the Ivory or Bronze markers.

4- Color the leaves of the flowers with the Soft Sea Foam markers.

5- Fussy cut out the Bear and Flowers. Use an Exacto knife and cut a slit around the arm of the bear.

6- Add the stripe pattern from the envelope to the front of the cardbase. Add the strip of Rich Razzleberry 1” from the bottom.

7- Center the Gold Foil behind the Calypso Coral piece and add to the center of the cardbase.

8- Stamp the greeting on the left side of the Large Label and add to the left side over the Rich Razzleberry.

9- Add the flowers under the arm of the bear and adhere with a dimensional. Add the bear to the right side of the greeting with some dimensionals.

10- Tie a bow with 8” of Gold Twine and adhere at the base of the flowers. Add three Gold embellishments.

All Done!
