- Cut the Watercolor paper with the second to largest Stitched Nested Label Die.
- With an Aqua Painter and Pool Party Ink, add a watercolor wash to the label. Add some dark areas and keep some light areas. Let dry.
- Stamp 2 leaves and 1 flower for each card on Whisper White cardstock in Memento Ink.
- To color the flower, first use the Dark Daffodil Delight Blend marker in the middle. Then add the Dark Calypso Coral Blend marker to the shadow areas of each petal. Blend all the colors by using the Light Calypso Coral Blends marker.
- For the leaves, start with the Dark Old Olive Blends marker and add some dark areas to each leaf. Blend with the Light Old Olive Blend marker and fill in the rest of the leaves. Add some Dark Crumb Cake Blends marker to the branch.
- Fussy cut the leaves and the flowers.
- Place glue dots on the backs of the leaves.
- Use a big shot and the Tin Tile Embossing Folder and emboss the Soft Suede or Petal Pink cardstock pieces.
- Adhere the Designer Series Paper to the White cardbase.
- Add with liquid glue the embossed coordinating cardstock. Add about an inch from the bottom.
- With Memento Ink stamp the bird on the watercolor paper near the top and to the left. Then stamp the greeting to the right of the bird with the bottom of the greeting lined up with the feet of the bird.
- Color in the bird – watercolor paper bleeds more with Stampin Blend Markers. If you want to stamp and color on Whisper White cardstock and cut out that would be another option. Begin with the Dark Daffodil Delight on the beak. Then color in the whole bird with Light Daffodil Delight. Add some color with the Light Crumb Cake to the wings and under the breast. Then add some light Calypso Coral to the breast and shoulder of the bird. If the color bleeds too much you can use the Color lifter to remove some color.
- Add this bird label to your card in the center of the color cardstock with some dimensionals.
- Add the 2 branches of leaves near the feet of the bird. Create an “L” shape.
- Add some snail to the back of the flower and then wrap the 8” of twine or ribbon back and forth creating a bow shape. Then apply to the center of the leaves with some liquid glue.
Here is the other version of the same card. I did this one horizontal and really like how it turned out.

Here is the same project as a video tutorial.
