Tips on How to Turn a Simple Card to a Stunning Handmade Card | Seasonal Wreaths Stamp Set

Today I would like to show you how I create both a simple stamped card and then what elements I like to add to turn it into a Stunning Handmade Card. I use the Seasonal Wreaths Stamp Set from Stampin Up to create the main image for this card. I hope you try some of these tips on your next card to help step it up.

Simple Card

1- On the Whisper White Cardstock stamp the snowflake image in a horizontal line with Pretty Peacock ink. I started at the bottom of the cardstock to keep the image straight. I do flip the image so one will curve up (on the left) and then switch it so it curves down (on the right). This will keep the image in a straight line. Repeat 2 more times above the first so it covers about half of the cardstock.
2- Stamp the greeting Holidays from the Merry Christmas to All Stamp Set in Pretty Peacock ink above the snowflakes all the way to the left.
3- Stamp Happy in Pretty Peacock ink above Holidays and all the way to the left.
4- Tie 16" of White Bakers Twine below Holidays, with the bow to the right of the word.
5- Adhere to the Soft Sky card base.

Simple Card is done!

Stunning Card

Begin at step 1 above and then move to #1 below
1- Use an aqua painter and add some Pretty Peacock ink in a watercolor wash to the background. Set to the side and let dry.
2- Use an embossing folder to add some texture to the large Pretty Peacock Cardstock.
3- Cut the word Holidays from the Merry Christmas Dies in the Pretty Peacock strip of cardstock.
4- Begin layers the pieces together once your paper is dry. Start with the Silver Glimmer Paper strip above the stamped snowflakes.
5- Tie 16" of White Bakers Twine below the silver glimmer paper with the ribbon all the way to the right.
6- Glue the Holidays at an angle so the "s" sits above the glimmer paper and the swirl of the "H" is below the glimmer paper.
7- Stamp Happy in Pretty Peacock ink above Holidays and all the way to the left.
8- Glue the stamped Whisper White cardstock to the Pretty Peacock embossed cardstock at an angle. Then pop it all up with dimensionals and adhere it to the card base at an angle.
9- Add three of the clear epoxy droplets around the greeting.

All done!
