Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing another fun treat box idea I saw made with the September 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Haunts & Harvest. This kit comes with everything you need to make 12 super cute fall themed treat boxes.
I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! Turkey Treat Box
1- Curl the top flaps, be careful with the hooks. I have
torn mine a couple times. Add adhesive strips to the bottom flaps and adhere around
the hexagon. Adhere the side flap to the inside of the box.
2- Choose a panel with a hook to be the face of the turkey, this will not get “hooked” with the other panels. Push the opposite panel, no hook, into the box and secure it by hooking the two panels on each side together. The other two panels will need to be adhered to the hooked panels to stay in place.
3- Pick some letters that will give you the shapes you want for the face and cut them out with cardstock colors and adhesive sheet on the back. I chose:
Beak – Pumpkin Pie – “V”, Snoot – Real Red- “U”, Eyes – Basic
White – (2) “B” & Basic Black – “:”
4- If necessary, trim the letters into the shape you want to use and add to the unhooked panel to create the face.
5- Create 5 feathers with either extra treat boxes or plain cardstock. Fold the cardstock in half and cut into a feather shape. You can trace this one to make multiple of the same size. Adhere to the back of the turkey with adhesive strips.
All Done!
Frankenstein Treat Box
1- With the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Maker color in all the
top flaps to give him hair. Then curl each flap, be careful with the hooks. I
have torn mine a couple times. Add adhesive strips to the bottom flaps and adhere
around the hexagon. Adhere the side flap to the inside of the box.
2- Push no hook panels into the box and secure it by hooking the hooked panels together.
3- Pick some letters that will give you the shapes you want for the face and cut them out with cardstock colors and adhesive sheet on the back. I chose:
Screws – Basic Gray – (2) “T”, Mouth – Basic Black – “I”
& “E”,
Eyes – Basic White – (2) “0” & Highland Heather “:”,
Eyebrows – Basic Black – “O”
4- If necessary, trim the letters into the shape you want to use and add to on of the panels to create the face. Add the “T” to the side panels for the screws.
All Done!
