August 2020 Paper Pumpkin Alternative - Birthday Shaker Card | Stampin Up Subscription Craft Kit

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today is my fourth alternative project using the August 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit – World’s Greatest. Today’s alternative card is a birthday shaker card. I found an old Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set that had these cute balloons and used it to pull in the birthday vibes. If you don’t have a balloon stamp set you can also use a balloon punch to achieve a similar look. I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more videos as I continue to create with this month’s kit. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! Mint Macaron Ink Pad 147106 $7.50

Wink of Stella 141897 $8.00

Paper Trimmer 152392 $25.00

Simply Shammy 147042 $8.00

Dimensionals 104430 $4.00

Clear Block D 118485 $8.50

Paper Snips 103579 $10.00

Bone Folder 102300 $7.00

Stampin' Pierce Mat 126199 $5.00

Take Your Pick Tool 144107 $10.00

1- Cut the rectangle to ¾” x 3 ¾” and stamp the greeting in the center with Pacific Point ink. Flag each end to create a banner look. Stamp the ribbon circle image on the large circle with Mint Macaron ink.

2- Stamp 3 balloons and string in each color: Mint Macaron, Bumblebee, & Pacific Point. Fussy cut out.

3- Adhere the window sheet to the back of the pattern frame from the kit. Add the foam frame to the back, don’t remove the top layer of paper yet. Place your frame where you want it on the cardbase and use removable tape (washi tape) to create a hinge.

4- Using the hinge, flip the frame over and remove any static with a dryer sheet. Place your gold stars in the center of the cardbase. Now remove the top paper from the foam frame and gently close the frame over the stars. Carefully remove the washi tape.

5- Adhere the circle ribbon to the center of the window, add the greeting over the circle ribbon.

6- Add the strings to each balloon and place them with dimensionals in the top left corner of the card.

7- Use the Wink of Stella brush and brush on a little glitter to each balloon, when changing colors clean the brush so you don’t have any color transfer to the other balloons.

All Done!
