July 2019 Paper Pumpkin Alternative Card - Stamp Set only - Seashell Stamp and Watercolor Technique

Welcome,

Today I would like to show you how to make a simple and elegant card using only the seashell stamp and a greeting from the Stampin' Up July 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit. I use a watercolor wash and splatter techniques as part of the background. This card has a lot of natural images and elements.

Here are the measurements for the cardstock needed to make this card:

1 - Fluid 100 Watercolor paper 3.5" x 5"

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make the card:

Rhinestone Basic Jewels 144220 $5.00
Simply Shammy 147042 $8.00
Snail Adhesive 104332 $7.00
Dimensionals 104430 $4.00
Clear Block D 118485 $8.50

Stampin' Pierce Mat 126199 $5.00

1- Create a watercolor wash using the aqua painter and some pretty peacock ink in the lid of you ink pad. Squeeze to add more water and get a lighter color or add more ink to get a darker color. You want something that looks like either the sky or the ocean. Then let dry or use a heat tool to dry it quickly.

2- With the Sahara Sand ink stamp an arch of seashells along the bottom half of the watercolor paper.

3- Use the aqua painter to create splatters in both Sahara Sand and Pretty Peacock. Pick up color from the ink pad lid and then brush the lid of the aqua painter in a up down motion over the paper so the ink splatters. Let dry.

4- Stamp in Pretty Peacock any greeting around the top of the arch of seashells.

Here is a picture showing the progress so far.

5- On your Sahara Sand card base. Stamp in the same color of ink a column of seashells along the left hand side.

6- Tear the left side of the strip of Pretty Peacock cardstock.

7- Adhere the strip behind the watercolor paper so it lines up with the greeting. Add the watercolor paper to your card base with dimensionals.

8- With 32" of Linen Thread wrap twice vertically around the left side of the card base and tie a bow. I strung my bow ends through the know to create a double bow. Watch my video below to see me do this step.

9- Color 3 rhinestones with a Stampin' Blends Marker any color of blue would work. and add them to the front of the card.

Here is the finished card
