Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey. Thanks for joining me today as I continue to share some beautiful card ideas you can make with the April 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Inked Occasions.

The cards in this kit are beautiful with blended alcohol ink and gold foil accents. They are perfect for an occasion.

This is the third alternative card idea I will be sharing with you this week. This card uses some easy and fun techniques to add texture to your cardstock.

Fresh Freesia Cardbase – 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Gorgeous Grape Cardstock – 3 ¼” x 5 ½” & scraps

Gold Foil – ¼” x 4 ¼”

Brass Butterflies – 3

Alcohol Ink along top & bottom Cardbase – Kit

Large Plants Die Cut – Kit

1- With your Paper Trimmer SCORE the Gorgeous Grape piece at these measurements so they run horizontally when placed on the cardbase. When you have finished scoring, add to the cardbase with a 1/16” border on the bottom.

1/4", 3/8”, 1/2" – 3/4", 7/8”, 1”

1-1/4", 1-3/8”, 1-1/2" – 1-3/4", 1-7/8”, 2”

2-1/4", 2-3/8”, 2-1/2" – 2-3/4", 2-7/8”, 3”   

2- Splatter with White Ink. I use White Craft Ink mixed with Water and Splattered with a Water Painter. Let dry completely. To speed up drying you can use a Heat Tool.

3- Cut Half of the Alcohol Ink along top & bottom Cardbase to 3 ¼” x 4 ¼” (we used the first half in yesterday’s alternatives).

4- Adhere the Gold Foil Strip to the back on the colorful ink side with dimensionals. You should see about 3/8” along the bottom. If you need to use a wider strip you can.

5- Flip the Large Plants Die Cut to the white side. Trim off the edges to fit 4 ¼” width. Stamp a greeting in Gorgeous Grape ink in the bottom right corner. Add along the bottom (colorful) edge with dimensionals. It can overlap the gold foil piece just slightly if you want.

6- Add Foam Adhesive Sheet to the back of the Gorgeous Grape Cardstock and cut out the HUGS Die. Add above the plants in the center.

7- Add 3 Brass Butterflies.

8- Add everything to the center of the cardbase when it has finished drying.

All Done!
