Global Stampin' Video Hop - January 2024 - LOVE Themed Projects - Wedding Card - New Techniques!

It is time for another tutorial for the Global Stampin’ Video Hop on YouTube. Each month on the fourth Friday Stampin’ Up Demonstrators from around the world come together and share their projects based on a monthly theme. January’s Theme is – Love. I am so excited to see what everyone creates this month.

Today I am sharing with you a Beautiful Wedding Card I created using new Stampin’ Up! products. If you are interested in purchasing any of these products, I have linked them below.

This card uses some new techniques that I am excited to share with you in this tutorial.

I hope you are inspired today as you see all the Love Themed Projects from everyone while jumping from video to video. If you are inspired to make a project from something you see today please share it with us, we would love to see what you come up with. You can tag me @creativechelsey in any social media post.

Supplies

1- Layer a piece of Moody Mauve Cardstock (4 1/8” x 5 3/8”) behind a sheet of Plaid Gold Foil from the Most Adored DSP – Sale-a-bration item.

2- Stamp a light pattern with the flowers from Lifetime Of Love Stamp Set on Bubble Bath Cardstock (2” x 4”) with Bubble Bath ink. Add this about 1 ¼” from the bottom of the Gold Foil paper.

3- Wrap 6” of Moody Mauve Ribbon about ½” from the bottom of the Bubble Bath piece, securing the ends on the back.

With 18” of White Baker’s Twine wrap around the Moody Mauve Ribbon, tie a single knot.

Lay another piece of Twine (10”) across the knot and tie a knot around the second piece with the first. Adjust the second piece so the knot is in the center.

With both pieces tie a double bow on the right side. See video if needed. Add everything to the cardbase with dimensionals.

4- Cut out the large Arch Die from Gold Foil Cardstock, make sure to add adhesive sheet to the back.

5- Create an embossed image of the Arch Die on Basic White Cardstock with your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine by layering

Platform 1,
Clear platform 3,
Silicone Craft Sheet,
Cardstock & Die,
Platform 3
When you run it through the machine it should not be tight, just enough pressure to press the die into the cardstock, not cut through. See video.

6- Place the die back over the embossed image. With a pencil trace along the outside edge. Fussy cut along this line. Erase any pencil marks.

7- With your choice of Stampin’ Blend Markers color in the flowers & leaves on the embossed piece. I used Old Olive for the leaves, Bubble Bath for the small flower, Moody Mauve for the large flower, and Dark Daffodil Delight for the inside area of each flower.

8- Adhere the Gold Die Cut over the embossed piece. The colored areas should fill the holes in the die giving a beautiful look.

9- Stamp your greeting on another piece of Basic White Cardstock and cut out with the same die. Add two dimensionals on the back in the center, then add a little liquid glue around the edge. Add this piece to the main piece pressing firmly around the edges. This creates a bubble look which I think looks cool on this die.

10- Add dimensionals to the back and place in the center of the card.

All Done!
