November 2023 Paper Pumpkin Warm Wishes Alternatives - Get Two Cards From One House!

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on Creative Chelsey.

Hi Everyone and welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here on creative chelsey. This week I am going to share with you great card ideas you can make with one set of supplies from this month’s kit. Today I am sharing with you my first alternative cards using the November 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Warm Wishes. This festive kit creates 8 treat boxes, 4 in two different designs.

Each month I take the contents from the paper pumpkin kits and make alternative projects. My cards are easy to follow and can be made by both experienced or new paper crafter. You may need just a couple other products to complete them. You can follow along with me using supplies you already have or purchase any products you see me use from my online store. A full supply list is below.

Today’s card makes a bold statement with strong colors that coordinate with the large houses from the treat boxes, which we will be cutting up to get two cards from one house. I am so excited to show you how.

1- Separate the front of the red house from the back. On the back cut 1-3/8" from the bottom, this should separate the bottom row of windows from the top.

2- Blend a coordinating color of ink along the edges of the Balmy Blue or Old Olive piece. Splatter ink with same color of Stampin' Write Marker. Distress the edges. Add to the center of the coordinating cardbase either Night of Navy or Mossy Meadow.

3- Add the house to the center of the cardbase, with about 1/4" from the top. If you are using the separated pieces, start with the roof and then tuck the row of windows underneath.

4- If you want to add a 1/2" of pattern paper below the house you can. This strip comes from the base of the box. To elongate the strip, cut it so the gap will be covered by the door.

You can also add any die cut wreaths from the kit with dimensionals over the windows.

5- Stamp the 2 doors, 3 presents, & 9 bushes in Memento ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. I used Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Real Red, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, and Pecan Pie Blends.
Fussy cut out and remove the bushes from the door.

6- Fussy cut out all the images and remove the bushes from the Pecan Pie door.

7- Add the door to the center of a piece of vellum with dimensionals. I used two different shapes, for the Pecan Pie door I used a 2-3/8" Circle and for the Real Red door I used a arch (you can download the SVG file for this arch above).

For the greeting you can use the banner label from the kit, I cut the other side to match. Or a 1/2" strip. Stamp your greeting in Mossy Meadow ink.

Add the greeting over the bottom of the door with dimensionals on the sides. Place the bushes on the left & right sides with dimensionals.

If you are doing the red door, I shifted everything to the right and evenly placed the bushes between the windows.

I also tucked in the three presents above the greeting between the two bushes.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step:
