Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my last alternative idea using the May 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit called Exploring In Color.
This fun outdoor themed kit creates 9 handmade cards. There are enough supplies to make three of each card. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative projects.
Today I am sharing with you a fun treat bag. It is quick and easy and I will provide you a link to the free template below. This is perfect for a little gift of hot chocolate, hot cider, etc. I have used one of the envelopes for the background design some leftover pieces from my previous cards. Use what you have and be creative.

1- Use the Template
To cut & score cardstock. Fold along score lines.
2- Trim off sides and flap from envelope so you have just the front piece with landscape. Cut down to ¼” smaller than the width of the treat pouch. I cut it to 3 ¾”.
Lay the piece over an open pouch on the front side (with angle). Place it with even borders on the left and right and double on the bottom. Flip over open and use a pencil to trace the angle to the back of the envelope piece. Use paper snips to cut along the line.
3- Adhere the treat pouch together with flaps on the inside.
Add the envelope piece to the front.
4- If you want to cut the corners at the top of the pouch
you can measure ½” from the top corners and trim, or use a corner punch.
5- To create the tag, punch a 2 3/8” Circle from any scrap pieces. Punch a hole at the top.
6- Stamp the mug in Copper Clay and fussy cut out. Punch a hole near the bottom of the handle.
7- Stamp your greeting “cheers” near the flagged side of the label. To do this ink only “cheers” from the Cheers for another Adventure stamp.
Measure enough room for the mug to swing above the
greeting so it doesn’t cover the words. Trim off the excess and punch a hole.
8- String all the pieces together and loosely tie together with a bow.
Add to the front of the treat pouch with a dimensional.
I have also created a video walking you through each step:
