Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my last alternative idea using the January 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Key To My Heart.
This kit comes with everything you need to make 9 Valentines Day Theme Greeting Cards, 3 in three different designs. This kit is filled with so many fun images & patterns. I like how the lock & key idea is unique and different than the typical Valentines Hearts.
What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative projects. Today I am sharing with you this easy scrap card. I used a Gold or Purple Heart from the Fine Shimmer Paper as the focal point. Which one do you like the best?

1- Gather up the leftover strips from the early project you created with this kit. If you want stamp the small hearts on some to give interest and texture.
2- Add the strips to a piece of cardstock 4” x 5 ¼” of any coordinating color. I used Basic White Cardstock. They can overlap and be placed at different heights.
3- Add everything to the front of your cardbase. I used Thick Basic White Cardstock. Then splatter with a Stampin’ Write Marker in a coordinating color.
4- Cut the large vellum circle in half. Punch out a heart from the Fine Shimmer Paper, Gold or Purple. Add the heart with dimensionals. to the center of the vellum half circle with the straight edge on the left.
5- Add adhesive behind the heart on the vellum and attach to the cardbase. I placed the straight edge of the heart along the straight edge of the left most strip, but you can place it anywhere.
6- Stamp your greeting on one of the leftover labels in
Fresh Freesia. Add it over the heart with a dimensionals on the right and adhesive
on the left.
7- Add some Gold Sequins or other embellishment.
