Gift Card Tags - A Fun Alternative Idea With The December 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Good Things Come In Small Packages - From Stampin' Up!

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my second alternative idea using the December 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Good Things Come In Small Packages.

This kit comes with everything you need to make 16 Gift Boxes for any occasion, 4 in four different designs. This kit is filled with so many things. I love that I have options and can choose between 8 different color boxes & 8 different patterns shapes. The combinations are so versatile.

What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative projects. Today I am sharing with you these cute Gift Card Tags. The box templates from the kit make these so easy to put together. They are perfect when you want to add a gift card to a small present for any occasion.

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

1- To make the Gift Card Tag. Identify the side of the box template that has the rounded tabs. This is the back of the Tag. Do not remove any of the rounded edge tags.

2- Fold along the scored left and right edges of the back of the Tag. Draw a line where you need to trim off the excess. Trim along the inside of this line. Make sure there is no overhang when the tag is closed.

3- Using your Paper Trimmer, line up the top of the back of the Tag at the 1” line on the right side of the trim line. Cut the front of the tag until the score line and the side flap to the score line. See video for detailed instructions. Remove the flaps.

4- Use a 1 ½” circle punch to remove an area from the top of the front of the tag.

5- Fold all the flaps and add Tear & Tape Adhesive. Fold the front flap over the back flap with the color you want on the outside.

6- Punch a hole in the top.

7- Use one of the decorative labels from the kit and punch a hole in the top.

8- From any leftover box wrapper pattern cut a 2 ¼” circle. Add this to the center of the decorative label with dimensionals.

9- Stamp a greeting on one of the thin rectangle labels and add it at the bottom of the circle. Add one of the die cuts (cupcake, cap, star, flower) above the greeting with a dimensional.

10- String both tags together with 8” of twine from the kit. Tie a knot to hold them together, make sure there is space for the tags to move freely. I like having the Gift Card Tag with the opening up so the receiver sees the gift card. You can write a message on the back of the decorative label and add this to a small present / treat.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step:
