Three QUICK & EASY Alternative Card Ideas using the September 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Spooky Treats

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my first alternative idea using the September 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Spooky Treats.

This kit comes with everything you need to make 18 Halloween Treat Boxes, 6 in three different designs. This kit is so fun. I love the bold color combination, the cute die cuts & stamp images. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative projects. Today I am sharing how you can make three quick and simple cards from the supplies in the kit with a couple extra cardbase you have on hand. Don’t miss the heat embossing tips I also share in this tutorial. I love creating alternative projects with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit.

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com.

1- Begin by cutting the inside box template to 3” x 3 ½”. You will need to keep on score line, but it will be covered with other elements. If you want to disguise it more, you can run it through an embossing folder.

2- Cut down the outside box template 2 ½” x 3”. This is the full front section.

3- Stamp a pattern on the solid Fresh Freesia piece if you would like. I stamped the Stars in VersaMark and heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder.

4- Splatter ink on the cardbase, I used the Basic Black Marker with the Gray Granite & Orchid Oasis cardstock & glue, water, & White Embossing Powder for the Basic Black cardstock. See video.

5- Layer the piece from step 2 over the piece from step 1. You can flip the bottom piece over to get a white side if you want. Add this to the center of the cardbase.

6- Decorate with your choice of Die Cut pieces from the kit. You dimensionals. See images above for some fun examples of how to arrange the pieces. You can also use strips from the leftover pieces from step 1 & 2.

7- Stamp your greeting & add three Black Star Embellishments.

All Done!

I have also created a video walking you through each step and some of the details from the other cards:
