May 2022 SheetLoad of Cards #SLCTMay2022 - Happiness Abounds Stamp Set & Quick Watercolor Technique

Today I would like to share with you my cards I made with this month’s SheetLoad of Cards by Call Me Crafty Al. Each month Alicia from Call Me Crafty Al designs a fun template to create multiple handmade cards. Her designs are always fun and easy to use. They include a list of the types of products you need along with measurements to help you cut each piece.

The products I used to make these cards are new in the 2022-2023 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. They will be available TOMORROW - MAY 3. I love the fun Glimmer Paper that comes in all 5 new In Colors. Also, the beautiful hand drawn flowers and beautiful sentiments from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set. I know I will be using this stamp set a lot.

This is another template that uses 6” x 6” pattern paper. I like how the design has a modern feeling to it and this is what gave me the idea to use blocks of color instead of pattern paper for my cards. I also love the black and white elements which really make the design pop. So many fun possibilities with this design.

A Quick & Easy Watercolor Technique

1- Use the acetate sheet from the Stamp Set. Add ink in the center. Spritz with water.

2- You can also spritz water on the Basic White Cardstock. Then tap the ink on the paper randomly on the cardstock.

3- To get a lighter color, spritz on the acetate sheet again without adding water. Add to the cardstock.

4- Let dry. Then stamp images on top and cut out with coordinating dies.
