Three Ways To Use The Envelopes To Create Alternative Handmade Cards January 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my third alternative idea using the January 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Kisses & Hugs.

This kit comes with everything you need to make 10 Heart Shaped Cards, 5 in two different designs. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different or alternative cards. Today I am sharing three ways to use the envelopes from the kit to create simple & easy handmade cards. I love creating alternative projects with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit.

If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com

Card #1

1- Cut one envelope into three strips 1 ¼” x 4 ¼”. Add them to the center of the Blushing Bride cardbase with slight angles. Place the vellum over in the center.

2- Cut out a small heart from Blushing Bride Cardstock. I used the large heart from the Sweet Heart Dies. Stamp a greeting in the center with VersaMark, add Gold Embossing Powder and heat set. Place in the center of the White Heart from the kit with dimensionals. Add to the center of the card with dimensionals.

3- Add three sequins

Card #2

1- Cut one envelope into two pieces 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”. Distress the edges with a bone folder.

2- Stamp the Dots in Gray Granite in the top right and bottom left corners of the Gray Granite cardbase. Add the first envelope piece with the Flirty Flamingo color showing to the bottom right area at an angle. Then layer the “XO” pattern on top at a different angle.

3- Add color to one of the White Hearts with a Blending Brush. Start with Blushing Bride ink and add to the whole heart. Then add Flirty Flamingo along the edges. Add this at an angle in the center of the card.

4- Place the X & O stamps together on one clear block. Stamp in the center of the 1” Basic White strip, then stamp on each side to finish the pattern. Flag each end with the Banners Pick A Punch. Use a Bone Folder to curl the banner (see video for demo). Add to the center of the heart with dimensionals in the center of the banner only.

5- Stamp Friend in Gray Granite ink on the 3/8” strip and add to the center of the XO strip with dimensionals. Add three sequins.

Card #3

1- Cut one envelope to 2 ½” x 5 ½”.

2- Stamp the Solid Heart in Flirty Flamingo along the right edge of the Flirty Flamingo Cardbase.

3- Add the ½” Blushing Bride strip to the right side of the XO pattern. Add this to the left side of the cardbase.

4- Follow the directions from alternative ideas #2 to stamp the greeting inside the White Heart. http://creativechelsey.blogspot.com/2022/02/heart-gate-fold-alternative-cards-with.html

Add it to the center of the card with dimensionals.

5- Add three sequins.

I have also created a video walking you through each step and some of the details from the cards:
