Alternative Gift Packaging Idea - October 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Peaceful Christmas - Stampin' Up

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my fourth alternative idea using the October 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Peaceful Christmas. This kit comes with everything you need to make 10 beautiful Christmas Cards, 5 in two different designs. What I like to do is use the supplies in the kit along with some other products and create different things. Today I am sharing a Simple Gift Box Idea.

Today’s project is a quick & simple gift box. This box comes together so quickly by using my leftover scraps from my past alternative cards and the Kraft Boxes from Stampin’ Up! If this project inspires you to create something, I would love for you to tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com. I love creating alternative projects with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit

1- Begin by fussy cutting out the silver foil trees from one envelope. I had a piece leftover from a past alternative card. Check it out here - http://creativechelsey.blogspot.com/2021/10/create-beautiful-holiday-christmas-card.html

2- Put your Kraft Gift Box together. Tip- Adhere the center flaps to the top of the box to create a tighter fit.

3- Add the Silver Foil Trees just above center on the inside of the lid. Make sure to check the front so the trees are going the right way when the box is closed. Add the adhesive to the sides. Add the Buffalo Check to the area below the trees. Make sure there are no gaps. Then add the Stary Sky piece above the trees, again no gaps.

4- Adhere a piece of Kraft Paper 4 ½” x 6” to the inside of the lid to cover the scraps.

5- Add your gift inside and close the box. Wrap a piece of ribbon horizontally around the box and tie a bow. Tip- To measure the length of ribbon needed wrap the ribbon around the box, then double that length.

6- Stamp the greeting on the label in Real Red ink. I wanted to use “From Our Home To Yours” but it is too long. So to help it fit you will split the greeting into two sections. Ink up “From Our Home” by using the edge of the ink pad to determine where the ink is applied. Then stamp in the center of the label. Clean the stamp really well and check for a “ghost image” by stamping without any ink on scrap paper. Then ink up “To Yours” the same way and stamp underneath.

7- Cut the banner in half and add it behind the label to make it shorter. Add with dimensionals to the center of the Buffalo Check Circle 2”. Then punch a hole at the top. Add a 7” piece of Real Red twine to the label and tie around the bow.

All Done!
