Simple Card Making Technique - Stamp OFF/Stamp ON with Stampin' Up! September 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today I am sharing my second alternative card ideas using the September 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Haunts & Harvest. This kit comes with everything you need to make 12 super cute fall themed treat boxes. What I like to do is that those supplies and with a couple things from my craft space, turn them into cards. This is another set of simple cards using the Stamp Set that came in the kit to beautiful backgrounds. You can recreate these cards with any stamps you have. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! You can tag me in any social media post using @creativechelsey | #creativechelsey or email me at chelsey@creativechelsey.com. I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more as I continue to create with this month’s kit

Card #1

1- Stamp the leaf images on the top and bottom of the white cardstock in Pumpkin Pie & Soft Succulent Ink. To get the lighter color with the solid leaf images, stamp off on scratch paper before stamping onto the cardstock (Stamp Off – Stamp On Technique). Then stamp the Lines/Vein images inside with the same color ink at full strength.

2- Punch out one die cut in each leaf shape and stamp the same colors & technique on the back (white side). Stamp your greeting on the tag die cut from the kit in Soft Succulent.

3- Stamp the brush stroke image in Soft Succulent on the 4” x 5 ¼” Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. Use the Stamp off – Stamp on technique to get a lighter color. You also only need to stamp about ½” into the cardstock and keep the stamp going the same direction. Add this to the center of the cardbase.

4- Choose two treat box patterns, I did the Pale Papaya & Soft Succulent, and trim off one section. Trim the sides down to get about a 1” x 3” rectangle. Cut in half so you have two ½” x 3” pieces. Trim one, Pale Papaya, down to 2 ¾” in length.

5- Add these to the top and bottom of the stamped white cardstock with about ¼” showing. Add this to the center of the cardbase with dimensionals.

6- Remove another section from the Pale Papaya treat box. Mimic the same curve on both sides by tracing it from the top of another section. Trim with a pair of paper snips. Add this to the center of the white cardstock with dimensionals.

7- Place the two leaves in the middle of the “label” with dimensionals.

8- Then add the greeting at an angle. Tie a bow with 10” of Linen Thread and attach near the hole in the tag.

All Done!

Card #2

1- Stamp the leaf images from the top left corner to the bottom right corner on the white cardstock in Pumpkin Pie, Poppy Parade, Soft Succulent, & Evening Evergreen Ink. To get the lighter color with the solid leaf images, stamp off on scratch paper before stamping onto the cardstock (Stamp Off – Stamp On Technique). Then stamp the Lines/Vein images inside with the same color ink at full strength. For the darker green leaf, I used full strength Soft Succulent for the solid shage and Evening Evergreen for the veins. Add this to the front of the cardbase.

2- Remove a section from one of the Poppy Parade treat boxes. Mimic the same curve on both sides by tracing it from the top of another section. Trim with a pair of paper snips. Add this to the center of the cardbase with dimensionals.

3- Stamp your greeting on the tag die cut from the kit in Soft Succulent. Remove the hole to create a rectangle tag. Tie a bow with 10” of Linen Thread and attach it to the back of the greeting. Adhere the greeting with dimensionals to the center of the rounded label.

All Done!
