New Product Spotlight IN GOOD TASTE SUITE | How to add Texture to your Handmade Cards | Stampin Up

There are so many beautiful suites in the new annual catalog. One that I am in love with is the In Good Taste Suite. This collection of coordinating products is so fun to create with. I have made this card using all the products in the suite along with some fun water coloring techniques to create this beautiful card that is full of texture and interest. I hope you enjoy this handmade card tutorial and come back for more. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! 1- Stamp the lace stamp in Bumblebee and the fern stamp in Cinnamon Cider on the 3 ¾” x 5” Whisper White cardstock. Spritz with water to make the ink bleed a little. Place to the side to dry.
2- Stamp your greeting in VersaMark on Whisper White cardstock, add white embossing powder and heat until melted and shiny. Cut out the greeting with a label from the Tasteful Labels Dies.
3- Add Old Olive ink to the clear block E – spritz with water – turn over and press the ink onto the label with the greeting. If you don’t get good ink coverage all over you can rub more ink into any white areas with a paintbrush (I used my finger, lol). Set to the side to dry.
4- On Whisper White cardstock, stamp 2 fern images in Old Olive, stamp a third without reinking to give a lighter color. Then watercolor Old Olive ink inside the little leaves. Use a lighter color for the lighter fern. Fussy cut them out.
5- On Whisper White cardstock, stamp 1 flower image in Terracotta Tile, stamp a second without reinking to give a light color. Then watercolor Terracotta Tile inside the petals. Start with a darker color near the base of each petal and lighten it up near the tips. Do the same to the lighter flower, but with lighter ink color. Add Bumblebee ink to the center of each flower. Fussy cut out.
6- Once the lace and fern stamped paper is dry add some Terracotta Tile splatters randomly. Let dry. Then run through the embossing folder to give it even more texture.
7- Add the wood grain DSP to the front of the cardbase. Distress the embossed paper by rolling down the edges and corners a little. Add to your card in the middle.
8- Add your greeting with dimensionals (in each corner) to the bottom left corner of the embossed paper with about ½” from the left and bottom edge.
9- Place the light fern come out from the top right corner of the label. Place one dark fern coming down from the label in the bottom right corner. Cut the last dark fern into 2 pieces by removing the top three leaf groupings. Place the bottom piece over the lighter fern, the top piece will go between the two flowers on the top right.
10- Place the light flower under the label on the top. Add the dark flower over the label covering the top right corner. Add the top fern piece between them.
11- From the In Good Taste Elements: use one wooden fern over the bottom stamped fern and slide it under the label a little. Add two circle near the top left side of the light flower .

All Done!
