1- Begin by dyeing the white bakers twine with the Soft Seam Foam reinker. First get the twine wet with some water. I like to work with wet twine because I think it moves the ink through the twine better.
Place the wet twine in a ziplock bag and add a couple drops of ink. Move the twine and ink around to get the color all over the twine.
Take the twine out and with a paper towel dry the twine and lightly by pulling it through the paper towel to get off any extra ink. Then place to the side to dry or use a heat tool for a quick dry.
2- With the Very Vanilla Cardstock 3.5” x 4.5” cut the largest rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies with a big shot or other die cutting machine.
3- With the 3-leaf stamp and Soft Sea Form ink pad repeatedly stamp the image all over the rectangle. Make sure to rotate the leaves and to stamp some off the edge to make it feel like it was part of a larger piece of paper.
4- For the flowers use the Very Vanilla Cardstock 4” x 2” – start with the solid flower image and use Rich Razzleberry ink. Use the “stamp off – stamp on” technique and stamp 5 flowers.
“Stamp off – Stamp on” Technique: Ink your image, then stamp off your cardstock onto a scrap piece of paper, then stamp on your cardstock. This gives the image a lighter version of the ink.
Tip: If using a punch – make sure to stamp the image in the same direction as the punch.
5- Use the lined flower image and Blackberry Bliss ink pad and stamp 3 flowers with full strength ink.
6- Stamp the greeting with Blackberry Bliss in the center of the Very Vanilla Cardstock 3” x 2”
7- Punch out all the flowers
8- To cut out the greeting I used the 3rd from the smallest rectangle (about 2.75” x 1.75”)
To Customize your own size using the rectangle dies.
Start by finding a size that fits the space vertically around your greeting and is larger on the sides. Place the die on the right side so it has an even amount of space along the top, bottom, and right side. Place some tape to hold the die and cardstock together.
Place them in your big shot with the top plate only over the right half of the greeting. This is ensure that you only cut the right side.
Run it through the big shot.
Remove the cardstock around the right side so you can see the scalloped edge.
Now we will cut the left side – so position the die over the greeting so the spacing on the left side is about equal to the right side.
Flip it over and match the scallops on the top and bottom. Add the tape to keep it from moving.
Place it in your big shot with the top plate only over the left side – it can over lap in the center slightly. Run through the big shot.
Looks good!
9- Putting it all together – Start by adhering the rectangle to the front of the Soft Sea Foam card front
10- Adhere 4 of the solid flowers around the rectangle with some behind and some on top. Create little groupings.
11- Add some adhesive to the back of the greeting and wrap the twine back and forth to give a bow look behind it.
12- Add with dimensionals a little above center on top of the rectangle.
13- Add the last solid flower to the bottom of the greeting.
14- Add the striped flowers to complete the groupings. I used dimensionals to add them to the card.
15- Add green sequins from the Iridescent sequin assortment pack with glue dots around the flowers and greeting.
All done!
