It has been so fun playing with all the different elements from January’s Paper Pumpkin Kit. For my last tutorial I wanted to make sure I only use the stamp set to create a beautiful handmade card. It is Paper Pumpkin Week here on CreativeChelsey. This is the fifth and last tutorial this week. Make sure to look at previous tutorials for more inspiration on how to use your kit.
I also send a free exclusive card kit designed by me to all my Paper Pumpkin customers who received the January 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit. This is the card they will be making from their kit. I include all cardstock and accessories needed to make two of this card (adhesive and ink are not included). Interested in getting your own free exclusive kit for next month? 1- Begin this card by stamping the floral design on all 6- 1.5” Whisper White squares. I used Mint Macaron ink, but you may use any color combination you want.
2- Stamp the scallop image in Mint Macaron across the 2- 0.25” x 4” Mint Macaron cardstock strips.
3- Stamp a greeting on the 1.5” x 5/8” Whisper White piece. I used Thank You from the stamp set. Then cut out the ends of the strip to create a flag shape.
4- Punch out a heart shape from the Flirty Flamingo cardstock – I used a retired die set. You can use anything you may already have or a heart from the Heart Punch Pack (151292 $34.00). Use a sponge and Flirty Flamingo ink and add some color around the edge of the heart.
5- On the Mint Macaron card base add 6 dots of liquid glue down the center. Place them in the areas you want to add the 1.5” squares.
6- Add 2- 1.5” squares at a time to the dots of glue so you can move them together so they are centered on the card.
7- Add the scallop strips to your card. Place one over the last gap made by the 1.5” squares. Add the other below the first. Place them at an angle.
8- Add the heart to the left of the card over the scallop strips.
9- Cut a 10” piece of White Bakers Twine. Unwind it and separate the fibers. Use one fiber and wrap it around 2 of your fingers. Add this to the back of the greeting with some snail adhesive. I placed it a little to the left so it would also go over the heart when added to the card.
10- Add the greeting with dimensionals to the right of the heart. I placed it over the top scallop strip and over the heart a little so the bakers twine is more visible.
11- Add 3 glue dots around the heart and greeting. Add some of the pink sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment pack to the glue dots.
All Done!
As a side note – You can also make this project with supplies from the January Paper Pumpkin Kit.
Cut 6- 1.5” x 1.5” squares from the mini cards. You will need to use 1 and half cards. You could use either the Mint Macaron front or the white back
Use one of the Hearts
Use the flower sequins
I have also created a video tutorial of this card. Give it a watch.
