How I used the Eclipse Card Technique three different ways to create beautiful Christmas Cards

I am very excited to share with you this new Eclipse Card Technique. It is fun to see how different card makers use similar handmade card techniques and the unique tips they offer. Today I want to show you how you can use this technique three different ways giving you more variety and options when creating.
Follow me on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/creativechelsey/ Or join my Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/2221750878097906 Here are the dimensions and pieces you will need to create these cards: Card bases in Soft Suede, Old Olive, & Garden Green 8.5" x 5.5" scored at 4.25" Whisper White Cardstock (3) 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" | 0.5" x 3" | 0.5" x 2"

No Eclipse Card
1- On one piece of Whisper White cardstock stamp the grouping of Aspen Trees in Soft Suede Ink along the top. You will need to stamp it twice. Make sure to over lap the stamp slightly so you get a continuous line of trees.
2- Place the Christmas die centered in the bottom part of the white cardstock. Cut it out with the big shot or similar die cutting machine. Tip: bring the bottom clear plate with you to your working station so you don't loose any little pieces.
3- Add adhesive to the back of the white cardstock. I used both snail in the large open areas and liquid glue around the cut out area.
4- Adhere it to the Soft Suede cardbase.
5- Carefully remove the text Christmas from the die. Place it in the cut out area of the card.
6- This is now your guide so you know where to place the extra pieces that were cut with the die. Add liquid glue to those open areas on your card. Kind of like a puzzle.
7- Using the Take Your Pick Tool - Use the sharp pointed end to remove the small pieces one at a time from the die.
8- Then use the sticky side to pick it up and place it in the correct area. Repeat for all areas except the dot of the "i".
9- Carefully remove the text Christmas from the card.
10- Wrap 40" of Cajun Craze Linen Thread around the card. I like it right along the base of the trees. Tie a knot then ribbon on the right side of the card.
11- On the 3" strip of Whisper White cardstock score 1/2" then 3/4" then flip and repeat.
12- Stamp Merry in the center of the strip in Soft Suede.
13- Fold on the creases and add glue dots to create a 3D banner.
14- Trim a banner shape from each end. I like to cut from the center to the middle and then from each corner to the top.
15- Add to the card with dimensionals near the ribbon.
16- Add some Gold Metallic Pearls around the greeting.
All Done!
Off-Sett Eclipse Card
1- Use the Rocking Technqiue to ink the single larger bough from the Peaceful Boughs Stamp Set. To do this start by inking the whole stamp in Old Olive. You always want to start with the light ink first.
2- Pick up Garden Green ink and rock the stamps edges on the ink pad.
3- Then stamp along the top edge of the Whisper White cardstock.
4- Clean the stamp by stamping on some scrap paper.
5- Repeat this process along the top and left edges of the cardstock.
6- Place the Holidays die centered in the white part of the white cardstock. Cut it out with the big shot or similar die cutting machine. Tip: bring the bottom clear plate with you to your working station so you don't loose any little pieces.
7- Add adhesive to the back of the white cardstock. I used both snail in the large open areas and liquid glue around the cut out area.
8- Adhere it to the Old Olive cardbase.
9- Carefully remove the text Holidays from the die. Place it in the cut out area of the card.
10- This is now your guide so you know where to place the extra pieces that were cut with the die. Add liquid glue to those open areas on your card. Kind of like a puzzle.
11- Using the Take Your Pick Tool - Use the sharp pointed end to remove the small pieces one at a time from the die.
12- Then use the sticky side to pick it up and place it in the correct area. Repeat for all areas except the dot of the "i".
13- Carefully remove the text Holidays from the card.
14- Add dimensionals to the back of the text Holidays. You will probably need to cut the dimensionals into small strips or pieces. This can be a little time consuming / frustrating. Concentrate mostly on the larger areas of text and the center, don't worry about getting dimensionals everywhere. Leave the bottom of the H and y free of dimensionals.
15- Place the text Holidays over the cut out, but we want it to be offset slightly. I did mine a little to the top and to the left.
16- Cut a very small dimensional and add it to the back of the dot of the "i". Place it on top at a similar placement as the rest of the text.
17- Wrap 40" of Linen Thread along the bottom of the card. Knot and tie a bow to the left of the text. Move the thread under the text.
18- Stamp the word Happy in Old Olive about the text Holidays.
19- Place some Gold Metallic Pearls around the greeting.
All Done!
Full Eclipse Card
1- Stamp the Wreath in Old Olive in the center of a Whisper White Cardstock.
2- Stamp again in Garden Green over the image. You want to rotate the image slightly so you get a nice full wreath.
3- Place the die Merry at a slight angle in the center of the wreath. Cut with the big shot.
4- Add adhesive to the back of the white cardstock. I used both snail in the large open areas and liquid glue around the cut out area. Leave the bottom right corner adhesive free. This would be the bottom left corner when adding adhesive.
5- Adhere it to the Garden Green cardbase.
6- Carefully remove the text Merry from the die. Place it in the cut out area of the card.
7- This is now your guide so you know where to place the extra pieces that were cut with the die. Add liquid glue to those open areas on your card. Kind of like a puzzle.
8- Using the Take Your Pick Tool - Use the sharp pointed end to remove the small pieces one at a time from the die.

9- Then use the sticky side to pick it up and place it in the correct area. Repeat for all areas.

10- Carefully remove the text Merry from the card.
11- Cut 3 Merry (s) in Real Red cardstock
12- Add liquid glue to the front side of one of the Real Red Merry cut out.
13- Add a second one on top of the first.
14- Make sure the pieces are directly on top of one another. I like to use the tip of the pick up tool on one side and my fingernail on the other and press together slightly to move them on top.
15- Repeat with the 3rd Merry
16- Repeat with the white cut out
17- Add glue to the cut out area on the card.
18- Place the text Merry into the cut out area.
19- Line up the "&" and Bright stamp on a clear block
20- Stamp the & Bright in Real Red ink on the 2" strip of Whisper White
21- Adhere it to the center of the Real Red strip
22- Cut the edges into a banner shape.
23- Cut about 4" of Garden Green Ribbon - one side should be cut at an angle. Adhere it to the card near the base of the wreath with some overhang on the right side.
24- Place adhesive to the front and back of the overhanging ribbon and tuck under the white cardstock.
25- Add the greeting to the top of the ribbon with dimensionals.
26- Add some Gold Metallic Pearls to your card.
All Done!
