1- Ink up a clear block with Smoky Slate Ink Pad. Make sure to have good coverage and then stamp it in the center, directly to the Whisper White Cardstock.

2- Stamp each leaf and flower in a different color in a group of three in three areas along the edge of the smoky slate rectangle. I used Cajun Craze, Blackberry Bliss, & Pretty Peacock.

3- Punch a label with the Everyday Label Punch and stamp either the Pumpkin or Hat in the top area. Then color with a Blender Pen, Stampin’ Write Markers, or Stampin’ Blend Markers to achieve the look you want.

4- Stamp the greeting of your choice in Basic Gray ink.

5- Punch the ends of each strip including the greeting with your choice of end using the Banner Pick-a-Punch. I punched the Pretty Peacock 3 times to make it smaller than the Blackberry Bliss strip.

6- Adhere the Whisper White cardstock to the center of the Cajun Craze Cardstock. Add the two strips about 1” from the bottom of the stamped gray rectangle.

7- Add the label with dimensionals to the right of the strips. Adhere the greeting at the bottom of the label with the words centered on the label.

8- Add this element to the center of the card with dimensionals. Add three rhinestones in the leaf/flower grouping.

All Done!

Soft Pink Autumn Handmade Card - Alternative September 2020 Paper Pumpkin Subscription Craft Kit

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today is my fourth alternative project using the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Hello Pumpkin.

This card has such a simple layout, but really packs a punch with the extra touches like the stitched embossing in the background and the Brushed Gold Cardstock diamonds. I really can’t believe how many die-cut pieces come in this kit! After making most of my alternative projects I still have so many pieces that I can keep playing with.

I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more videos as I continue to create with this month’s kit. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! Here are the dimensions and pieces you will need to create these cards:

From the Kit:

Cracker box

Die Cut label & other shapes

8” Black or White Twine

Extra Cardstock:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock card base 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Petal Pink Cardstock 4” x 5 ¼”

Pumpkin Pie Cardstock ¼” x 4 1/8”

Brushed Metallic Cardstock 1 ½” x 4 ¼”

To purchase any of the products you need to create this project visit https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2042902

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make the cards:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock 140272 $8.25

Petal Pink Cardstock 146985 $8.75

Pumpkin Pie Cardstock 105117 $8.75

Brushed Metallic Cardstock 153524 $15.00

Stitched Leaves Dies 153567 $35.00

Paper Trimmer 152392 $25.00

Simply Shammy 147042 $8.00

Stampin’ Seal Adhesive 152813 $8.00

Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 $4.00

Dimensionals 104430 $4.00

Clear Block D 118485 $8.50

Paper Snips 103579 $10.00

Bone Folder 102300 $7.00

Stampin' Pierce Mat 126199 $5.00

Take Your Pick Tool 144107 $10.00

Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine 149653 $120.00

1- Run the top half of the Petal Pink Cardstock through an embossing folder or use the stitched lines from the Stitched Leaves Dies. I started the embossing/stitching at 2 ¼” from the bottom edge. Adhere to the front of the cardbase.

2- Cut the diamond pattern from the Cracker Box Die Cut by lining up the score line at the top and bottom of each diamond at ¼” from your cut line on your paper trimmer (watching the video below, maybe helpful). Then cut, and repeat on the other side of the diamonds. You can use the leftover pieces to create some of my other alternative projects – see past blog posts.

3- Adhere the Brushed Metallic Cardstock Strip to the back of the diamonds. Then trim each side as close to the edge of the end diamonds as you feel comfortable without cutting the diamond. It should be close to 4” maybe 4 1/8”. Adhere this to the bottom of the card with about ¼” of Petal Pink Cardstock showing.

4- Add the Pumpkin Pie strip at the top of the diamond pattern.

5- Add the Double Pumpkin Die Cut from the kit (or another of your choice) to the left side of the card. I placed it so the small pumpkin is sitting above the Pumpkin Pie strip. Then stamp your greeting on the banner label with the Cajun Craze ink spot and add under the small pumpkin with dimensionals.

6- Place any other die cuts from the kit around the greeting. Tie a bow with 8” of twine and add it to the bottom left corner of the greeting.

All Done!

Alternative Card Idea using Septebmer 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Hello Pumpkin & Coloring Techniques

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today is my third alternative project using the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Hello Pumpkin.

Today I wanted to share with your some fun coloring techniques to get a multi colored stamped image. I love how the stamped images from this month’s kit really turn this easy card layout into a beautiful fall handmade card.

I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more videos as I continue to create with this month’s kit. Here are the dimensions and pieces you will need to create these cards:

From the Kit:

Cracker box

Die Cut Label, Doily, & other shapes

8” Black or White Twine

Extra Cardstock:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock card base 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Whisper White Cardstock – scraps for stamping

Cajun Craze Cardstock 2 ½” x 3”

Bumblebee Cardstock 3 ½” x 4 ¾”

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make the cards:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock 140272 $8.25

Cajun Craze Cardstock 119684 $8.75

Bumblebee Cardstock 153077 $8.75

Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Marker (Neutrals Pack) 147158 $30.00

Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker (Regals Pack) 147155 $30.00

Blender Pen 102845 $12.00

Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder 152320 $10.00

Paper Trimmer 152392 $25.00

Simply Shammy 147042 $8.00

Stampin’ Seal Adhesive 152813 $8.00

Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 $4.00

Dimensionals 104430 $4.00

Clear Block D 118485 $8.50

Paper Snips 103579 $10.00

Bone Folder 102300 $7.00

Stampin' Pierce Mat 126199 $5.00

Take Your Pick Tool 144107 $10.00

Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine 149653 $120.00

1- Ink just the large pumpkin (not the stem or leaves) with the Cajun Craze ink spot. Use the brush tip Mossy Meadow & Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers and add ink to the stem & leaves. Add a bit of warm breath to the stamp before stamping on the Whisper White cardstock.

2- Use a Blender Pen to pull ink from the stamped image to add color the inside of the pumpkin and stem/leaves.

3- Fussy cut out. Then repeat steps 1-3 for another large pumpkin.

4- Use similar techniques from steps 1-3 to stamp the small pumpkin from the witch’s hat. When fussy cutting making sure to cut right along the edge and make sure to keep the pumpkin shape which will mean you get a little of the flowers in the pumpkin, but don’t worry you won’t really notice.

5- Emboss the Bumblebee cardstock with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder. Adhere this to the middle of your cardbase.

6- Cut a shallow banner along the 2 ½” side of the Cajun Craze cardstock. Using paper snips find the middle at 1 ¼” cut about ¼” up and then cut from each corner to the top of the center cut.

7- Remove the ends from one of the Cracker Boxes in the kit. Line up the score line at ¼” to remove the diamonds from the middle section. You should end up with a 2” strip. Adhere to the left with about ¼” of the Bumblebee cardstock showing on the left.

8- Stamp your greeting on a banner from the kit in Cajun Craze.

9- Add one of the rectangle doilies die cuts to the top of the Cajun Craze cardstock. Tie a small bow with about 8” of either black or white twine. Adhere to the back of the greeting and then add the greeting in the center of the doily with dimensionals. Add the 3 pumpkins to the bottom half of the Cajun Craze cardstock. Add some other die cuts like a curly-Q or leaf behind the small pumpkin. You can also pop up the small pumpkin with a dimensional.

10- Add this element to the card with dimensionals near the top with about a ¼” of the Bumblebee Cardstock showing on the top and left.

All Done!

Paper Pumpkin Alternatives - September 2020 Kit Hello Pumpkin | How I used the Diamond Shape Pieces

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today is my second alternative project using the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Hello Pumpkin. Sometimes the best ideas can come from unexpected places. That is kind of where this card idea came from. As I was punching out the diamonds from the cracker box cardstock, I realized that they were a perfect shape to repeat and would make a fun design for a card. And this card idea was born.

Here are the dimensions and pieces you will need to create these cards:

From the Kit:

20 diamond pieces from the cracker box

Die Cut Label

Extra Cardstock:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock card base 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Crumb Cake Cardstock 3 ½” x 4 ¾”

Cajun Craze/Pumpkin Pie Cardstock 3 ½” x 4 ¾”

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make the cards:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock 140272 $8.25

Crumb Cake Cardstock 120953 $8.75

Cajun Craze Cardstock 119684 $8.75

Pumpkin Pie Cardstock 105117 $8.75

Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder 152718 $9.00

Paper Trimmer 152392 $25.00

Simply Shammy 147042 $8.00

Stampin’ Seal Adhesive 152813 $8.00

Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 $4.00

Dimensionals 104430 $4.00

Clear Block D 118485 $8.50

Paper Snips 103579 $10.00

Bone Folder 102300 $7.00

Stampin' Pierce Mat 126199 $5.00

Take Your Pick Tool 144107 $10.00

Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine 149653 $120.00

1- Remove about 20 diamond shape pieces from 2 cracker boxes. Adhere one diamond to the center of the crumb cake cardstock. Use this first diamond as a guide and add the other 19 around it. Randomly mix in the other pattern on the other side. You may choose to make the diamond pattern symmetrical or more random – your choice. Trim any diamonds that are hanging off the edge of the cardstock.

2- Once all your diamonds are on the crumb cake cardstock use an embossing folder to give texture to everything. This makes the pieces feel like they are part of a cohesive piece rather than a bunch of diamonds glued to a piece of cardstock.

3- Add the coordinating solid cardstock behind the crumb cake cardstock at an angle. Then add both to the front of your cardbase at an angle.

4- Stamp your greeting onto one of the die cut banner pieces and add to your card with dimensionals.

All Done!

September 2020 Paper Pumpkin (Hello Pumpkin) Alternative Halloween Handmade Cards | Stampin Up

Welcome to Paper Pumpkin Week here at Creative Chelsey. I love getting my Paper Pumpkin Kit every month and creating fun alternative projects using the supplies in the kit. Today is my first alternative project using the September 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Hello Pumpkin. This kit comes with so much stuff! The original project creates 20 treat boxes and so there is plenty to play around with. Using just a couple extra pieces of cardstock you can create these cute Halloween Handmade Cards in three different versions, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, or Bumblebee.

I love creating alternative cards with Paper Pumpkin Kits so make sure to come back for more videos as I continue to create with this month’s kit. I would love to see your finished creations that are inspired by this tutorial! Here are the dimensions and pieces you will need to create these cards:

From the Kit:

1 Cracker Box

Die Cuts & Label

8” of Twine

Extra Cardstock:

Basic Black Cardstock card base 5 ½” x 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”

Cajun Craze/Pumpkin Pie/Bumblebee Cardstock 3 ¾” x 5”

Whisper White Cardstock 4” x 5 ¼”

Here is a list of the supplies I used to make the cards:

Basic Black Cardstock 121045 $8.75

Whisper White Cardstock 100730 $9.75

Cajun Craze Cardstock 119684 $8.75

Pumpkin Pie Cardstock 105117 $8.75

Bumblebee Cardstock 153077 $8.75

Markers to color die cuts as desired

Paper Trimmer 152392 $25.00

Simply Shammy 147042 $8.00

Stampin’ Seal Adhesive 152813 $8.00

Multipurpose Liquid Glue 110755 $4.00

Dimensionals 104430 $4.00

Clear Block D 118485 $8.50

Paper Snips 103579 $10.00

Bone Folder 102300 $7.00

Stampin' Pierce Mat 126199 $5.00

Take Your Pick Tool 144107 $10.00

1- Begin by trimming off the scallop edge from one of the cracker boxes. I cut mine around 3/8”. Then I cut again at 3/8” to create a small strip for the inside of the card.

2- Place all three small leaves and flower stamps together on one block. Ink all three with the Cajun Craze Ink Spot from the kit and stamp a random “wind swept” look going down and across the solid cardstock (Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, or Bumblebee). Repeat a little lower.

3- Adhere the scallop to the right side of the cardstock and trim any overhang. Then adhere to the center of the cardbase. Choose a pattern that stands out from the solid cardstock.

4- Stamp your greeting on a banner with the Cajun Craze ink spot and then add other die cuts around the greeting using both glue dots and dimensionals. Place your arrangement in the bottom right corner of your card.

5- Tie a bow with 8” of either the black or white twine from the kit. Add near your greeting.

6- Add the pattern strip with the same pattern as on the front to the bottom of the Whisper White cardstock. Add any other die cuts and adhere to the inside of the card.

All Done!
